On April 12th, at Dong Thanh Secondary and High School (Dong Thanh commune, Binh Minh town, Vinh Long province), the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism of Vinh Long province organized the Binh Minh Thanh Tra Festival, setting a Vietnamese record with 135 dishes and drinks made from thanh tra fruit - a local specialty fruit.
The event attracted hundreds of visitors who came to sample the distinctive specialties of Binh Minh town and Vinh Long province.
Attending the event were representatives from provincial departments and agencies, the Vietnam Record Association, the Mekong Delta Chefs Association, and many agricultural product production and processing units.
According to Ms. Nguyen Thi Quyen Thanh, Vice Chairman of the People's Committee of Vinh Long province, establishing the record of 135 dishes made from pomelo is a recognition of the efforts and creativity of the local people, contributing to honoring the value of labor and enriching the cultural and culinary life of the community.
Thanh Tra tea, along with Nam Roi pomelo and tofu skin, are currently key agricultural and food products associated with the image and brand of Binh Minh town. Organizing the first Thanh Tra Festival aims not only to promote local specialties but also to create opportunities for connecting production and expanding consumer markets.

Within the framework of the festival, many activities were organized such as: a culinary competition using ingredients from pomelo, an exhibition space for OCOP products, a recreation of a traditional rural market, and a demonstration of the production process of tofu skin – a product recognized as a national intangible cultural heritage.
