Investigating the case of a student being beaten by a group of students.

In recent days, images and videos of a female student being repeatedly beaten by her classmates have been circulating on social media. Verification has revealed that the student being beaten is a 7th-grade student at Thuan Nam Secondary School in Ham Thuan Nam District.

The clip shows several students in uniform attacking a fellow student, while another student records the incident on their phone. The images were then posted on numerous social media sites, causing outrage among the victim's family; many parents whose children attend the school were also alarmed after seeing the clip.

The incident of students fighting at Thuan Nam Secondary School occurred in Tan Lap commune, Ham Thuan Nam district.

Upon verification, the incident occurred in Tan Lap commune, Ham Thuan Nam district on November 7th. The victim of the group assault is a 7th-grade female student from Thuan Nam Secondary School, Thuan Nam town, Ham Thuan Nam district ( Binh Thuan province ). According to Ms. NTTH, the student's mother, the student is currently receiving treatment at the Ham Thuan Nam Medical Center. Her health is stable, but she shows signs of fear and cries frequently.

According to Ms. NTTH, after the incident occurred, she reported it to the school, but the school claimed that the incident happened outside the school premises and not during students' class hours, so they were unaware of the incident.

Notably, according to the girl's mother, some parents, including the grandmother of one student (identified as having participated in the assault), came to the hospital room, made challenging remarks, and filmed the incident, further frightening the victim.

The victim, who was receiving treatment, showed signs of panic when encountering strangers.

Speaking to a reporter from Thanh Nien newspaper, Ms. Mai Thi Ngoc Anh, Vice Chairman of the People's Committee of Ham Thuan Nam District, said that after learning about the incident, the district directed the Ham Thuan Nam District Police to investigate and take timely action to prevent a recurrence of the situation. Currently, the police have met with several parents and the mother of the assaulted female student to obtain their statements.

A leader of the Ham Thuan Nam District Police said that they have directed the professional team to work with the Principal of Thuan Nam Secondary School to take disciplinary action against the students who violated the rules; at the same time, they will use this incident to draw lessons for all schools in the district to deter and educate students to prevent similar incidents of student fighting from recurring. The leader also stated that the videos on social media have now been removed.

Meanwhile, in an interview with Thanh Nien newspaper, the Director of the Department of Education and Training of Binh Thuan province, Nguyen Thi Toan Thang, said that she only learned about the incident yesterday afternoon and had requested the Education and Training Department of Ham Thuan Nam district to report on the matter. She also requested that the students involved be strictly punished according to school regulations.
