Late at night, when the streets were quiet, I happened to catch sight of a female cleaner diligently cleaning every corner of the street and every sidewalk. In the dim yellow light of the street lights, her small but strong figure, her hands nimbly handling an old bamboo broom, seemed to be telling the story of a long, hard day. I stood still and watched, suddenly feeling my heart sink. In the quiet of the night, the rustling sound of the broom echoed rhythmically, regularly like the breath of the city - gentle but indispensable.
I saw her face covered in sweat, her eyes were not tired but on the contrary, shining with resilience. Without a word of complaint, without needing anyone's recognition, she still quietly did her job with all the responsibility and love for the city. That moment made me moved and silently thanked her as well as those who were silently contributing, keeping the city clean and beautiful. Her image that late at night, to me, was not just an ordinary cleaner, but a symbol of the beauty of labor - simple, persistent and full of emotion.
