Huynh Thanh Dat, Deputy Head of the Central Propaganda and Mass Mobilization Department, affirmed that digital transformation and the application of artificial intelligence are not simply about applying technology, but a process of innovating thinking and working methods.

On the afternoon of April 3rd, in Hanoi , the Central Propaganda and Mass Mobilization Department organized a thematic information conference on "Digital transformation in accordance with Resolution No. 57-NQ/TW and the application of artificial intelligence (AI) in propaganda and mass mobilization work."

Member of the Politburo , Secretary of the Central Committee of the Party, and Head of the Central Propaganda and Mass Mobilization Department, Nguyen Trong Nghia, attended the conference. In his opening remarks, Deputy Head of the Central Propaganda and Mass Mobilization Department, Huynh Thanh Dat, emphasized that we are living in the era of the Fourth Industrial Revolution with the powerful explosion of digital technology, AI, big data, and cloud computing... In particular, digital transformation has become an inevitable global trend, profoundly impacting all aspects of socio-economic life.

Recognizing this, on December 22, 2024, the Politburo of the 13th Party Congress issued Resolution No. 57-NQ/TW on "Breakthroughs in the development of science and technology, innovation, and national digital transformation."

Immediately after Resolution No. 57-NQ/TW was issued, the Central Propaganda and Mass Mobilization Department quickly implemented and issued Guidance No. 186-HD/BTGTW on the dissemination and promotion of Resolution 57-NQ/TW.

The organizing committee implemented the television program "Light of Knowledge"; organized the television program "Digital Citizen"; and advised the Central Steering Committee on the development of science and technology, innovation, and digital transformation, launching the "Digital Literacy Movement"; and organized the compilation of the Q&A document on Resolution 57-NQ/TW.

The thematic information conference is an important and practical activity aimed at raising awareness, exchanging experiences, and clarifying core issues regarding digital transformation and the application of AI in propaganda and mass mobilization work, contributing to the successful implementation of the political tasks of the Central Propaganda and Mass Mobilization Department in the new situation.

The conference heard presentations on two important topics: “Digital transformation in propaganda and mass mobilization work - Opportunities and challenges” and “Application of artificial intelligence in propaganda and mass mobilization work - Solutions and prospects.”

The reports analyzed the impact of digital technology and artificial intelligence on the field of propaganda and mass mobilization, and offered specific solutions to improve the effectiveness of this work in the future.

Integrating AI into communication and advocacy efforts will enhance access to and use of data, while also supporting improved communication methods and increased interaction with the public on digital transformation platforms.

Affirming that the knowledge and experience shared at the Conference will be an important foundation for each official, civil servant, and employee to apply to their practical work, the Deputy Head of the Central Propaganda and Mass Mobilization Department suggested that it is necessary to continue to raise awareness of the role and importance of digital transformation and the application of artificial intelligence in propaganda and mass mobilization work.

Every official, civil servant, employee, and worker needs to proactively update their knowledge and improve their skills to effectively apply technology to their work.

The Deputy Head of the Central Propaganda and Mass Mobilization Department suggested continuing to promote the application of digital technology and artificial intelligence; building engaging communication content, utilizing technological platforms to disseminate official information, guide public opinion, and combat false narratives.

Units need to strengthen cooperation in implementing digital transformation and applying artificial intelligence to share data and experience, thereby improving work efficiency and avoiding duplication and waste; while also building a strong team of professionals in digital transformation and AI application…/.
