According to Deputy Director of the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism Truong Ba Trang: The Party Committee and the government in the province have always paid attention to directing and formulating comprehensive plans and solutions to promote the movement of building a cultured lifestyle, developing it extensively and profoundly impacting many aspects of social life. Cultural and sports facilities are becoming increasingly vibrant, diverse, and attractive, meeting the needs of the people for cultural and spiritual enjoyment. This contributes to promoting national unity, boosting socio-economic development, strengthening the political system, and maintaining national defense and security.
Mass cultural, artistic, and sports activities are maintained and developed, meeting the diverse and healthy needs of the people. The system of cultural institutions throughout the country receives attention from local authorities in terms of construction, repair, and upgrading. The implementation of civilized practices in weddings and funerals has seen many positive changes. Festivals are organized in accordance with State regulations, ensuring economy, solemnity, and civility, and the socialization of these activities is promoted.
Sports competition
Many annual folk festivals in localities are maintained and organized in accordance with the State's guidelines, truly becoming celebrations that reflect the cultural identity of the ethnic groups and attract large numbers of participants. In particular, the Khmer Ethnic Group's Culture, Sports and Tourism Festival and the Cham Ethnic Group's Culture, Sports and Tourism Festival, held alternately each year, have become indispensable cultural and spiritual events for the Khmer and Cham ethnic minorities in the province. "Through these festivals, we aim to create opportunities for artisans and ethnic minorities in the province to meet, exchange experiences, and showcase their talents in the fields of culture, arts, and sports. This helps preserve and promote the traditional cultural values of the ethnic groups, contributing to enriching the cultural and spiritual lives of the people," shared Mr. Truong Ba Trang, Deputy Director of the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism.
The movement to build culturally exemplary families, hamlets, and villages has been implemented with many creative, diverse, and focused approaches. The evaluation of culturally exemplary families in localities is conducted openly and democratically, adhering closely to the criteria. Exemplary culturally exemplary families are key figures in the movement to build prosperous, equal, progressive, and happy families. At the same time, they are positive and important factors in protecting and preserving the moral values, customs, and fine traditional culture of the nation… The entire province has recognized 508,465 culturally exemplary households (reaching 94.2% of the total number of households); and 879 culturally exemplary hamlets/villages (reaching 100% of the total number of villages).
The Vietnam Fatherland Front and its member organizations have strengthened the innovation of mobilizing and disseminating information to the people to implement movements such as: National solidarity in building new rural areas and civilized urban areas; National security protection; The whole country joining hands for the poor - Leaving no one behind; Eliminating temporary and dilapidated houses… Many emulation movements have become bright spots, many contents have been integrated into daily life, and have been actively and responsibly implemented by all levels, sectors, society and people.
The movement for building a cultured and civilized lifestyle has spread strongly not only in urban areas but also in mountainous regions, remote areas, and areas inhabited by ethnic minorities, with many rich and creative activities suitable to the conditions of each locality. Through this, many exemplary individuals and groups have emerged, demonstrating "good people, good deeds" in all fields, creating motivation to awaken and develop the talents and intelligence of individuals and groups in learning, working, production, and business, striving to improve their lives. Mr. Chau Soc Da (residing in Tri Ton town, Tri Ton district) said: “With the help of the local government, we people are gradually learning to apply science and technology to production and trade to earn more income. Thanks to this, the lives of our people are more prosperous than before. When our family lives are stable, we actively participate in social and charitable activities, joining hands to build a cultured lifestyle and build a new rural area.”
In the coming period, the Party committees and authorities in the province will continue to develop the movement for building a cultured lifestyle in conjunction with patriotic emulation campaigns and movements, building new rural areas and civilized urban areas, with many rich, flexible, and creative activities suitable to the conditions of each locality. At the same time, they will effectively utilize cultural institutions; regularly organize cultural and artistic activities, physical education and sports activities, contributing to meeting the needs for cultural enjoyment, health training, and creating healthy playgrounds for the people. They will strengthen inspection, supervision, and evaluation of cultural titles in a fair manner; and promptly commend and reward outstanding collectives and individuals who have made significant contributions to the development of the movement...
