Building a safe experience space for children

(PLVN) - According to Directive No. 17/CT-TTg on organizing summer activities for children and students. The Prime Minister noted the need to create conditions for children and students to play, participate in cultural and artistic activities, physical training, etc., in accordance with the conditions of each locality. In addition to useful summer activities, provinces and localities need to be careful to prevent accidents, injuries, and drowning for children.

Connecting love through summer activities

In Ha Nam province, implementing the direction of the Provincial Youth Union Standing Committee, the Provincial Youth Activity Center coordinated with the Ninh Binh Provincial Youth Activity Center - Armored Brigade 202 to organize the program "Semester in the Army". This is a provincial activity to practice skills, discipline, connect friendships, teach children how to love and be brave.

It is known that the course is expected to last for about 10 days with the theme “Journey of maturity”. The course is divided into two sessions with about 80 students from 11 to 17 years old in the province participating.

With a scientific and reasonable curriculum, including national defenseeducation , life skills education and group activities, the "Semester in the Army" program is expected to be a useful and attractive playground, a practical environment to educate personality and ethics for young people.

In Quang Tri province - where many localities are concentrated with ethnic minorities and poor households, caring for and opening extracurricular classes for children in difficult circumstances is extremely necessary.

At the Quang Tri Provincial Children's House, to meet the learning needs of students in the area, the unit has organized about 60 gifted classes with many different subjects at all levels from basic to advanced such as: martial arts, swimming, chess, painting, child modeling, dancing, child MC, musical instruments, calligraphy, English communication, Korean...

Diversifying gifted subjects contributes to meeting the needs of learning, playing, and cultivating life skills for young people in the area; encouraging and promoting strengths and talents of children, supporting them to have the opportunity to develop both physically and intellectually.

In Ho Chi Minh City, educational institutions have unanimously said “no” to extra teaching and learning. This year, the whole city will have many attractive programs for children. For example, children can participate in a series of fun, entertaining, training and improving physical and mental health activities such as: City Student Swimming Festival 2025, Thanh Da Summer Camp 46th 2025, Education and Training Sector Online Running Competition “Edu Run-HCM” 2nd 2025, City Student and Student Singing Contest 2025, Aerobic Gymnastics - Aerobic Dance - Cheerdance Competition 2025, Basketball, Petanque, Volleyball Tournament for high school students in Ho Chi Minh City, etc.

Enjoy summer vacation without forgetting to ensure safety for students

Students are at the age of being mischievous and curious to explore everything around them. Therefore, it is very easy for injuries such as fights, falls, etc. to occur when they are having fun and playing together. There are even many tragic drowning accidents, just because of a moment of carelessness of adults. Therefore, when organizing activities for young people, teenagers, and children in the area, provinces and localities prioritize ensuring the safety of children.

In Ha Nam province, to be ready to implement the 10-day military program plan, the Organizing Committee has prepared the best conditions such as: Building a tight, rich and scientific implementation content; ensuring good conditions for eating, resting, living and studying for the children at the unit; training the coordinator force with full skills and ethics to guide, manage and support the "young soldiers" to complete their military term.

Besides ensuring children have a safe and useful playground, promoting survival skills education is one of the important and necessary solutions to contribute to caring for and protecting children.

In Ho Chi Minh City, in addition to artistic and entertainment activities for children, the city also has many training sessions on safety skills. For example, regarding traffic, propaganda activities, instructions on wearing safe helmets, and traffic safety playgrounds will be organized in coordination with the City Traffic Safety Committee. Investment in visual propaganda products on environmental protection and traffic safety will be encouraged, promoting the role of "Every student is a propagandist".

In addition, the Department of Education and Training of Ho Chi Minh City will pay special attention to drowning prevention and safe swimming teaching in the summer of 2025. Professional training activities on swimming popularization and drowning prevention will be organized for physical education teachers. Departments of Education and Training and educational institutions are responsible for implementing safe swimming classes, prioritizing primary and secondary school students who do not know how to swim, especially in areas with high risk of drowning.

In Gia Lai, the Provincial Police Department's Political Work Department coordinated with Pleiku City Youth Union, Gia Lai Province's Center for Professional Training and Development, and Pleiku City Children's House to organize the program "Learning to be a police officer" in 2025 with 87 children participating between the ages of 10 and 14.

During the 6 days, the "young" police officers learned and practiced formations and teams; learned about regulations on the Law on Road Traffic Order and Safety; drew pictures on the topic of traffic safety; trained in fire prevention, fire fighting, rescue, and first aid skills...
