Raising awareness and responsibility
Nguyen Thi Kim Oanh (born in 1995), Vice President of Group 12, Thuy Phuong Ward, Huong Thuy Town, is not only known as a young female leader who has excelled in business with her successful quail farming and fruit tree cultivation model, but she is also an exemplary member who actively contributes to the women's movement and local activities. Despite her young age, Ms. Oanh was elected Vice President of the women's association by the members after only a short time participating in the association.
As the deputy head of the branch, she always sets a good example and takes the lead in the work of the Women's Union and the women's movement; implementing the Union's emulation movements in conjunction with studying and following the thoughts, morals, and style of Ho Chi Minh , as well as the campaigns and key tasks of the Union.
Ms. Oanh also excels in connecting and supporting female members in accessing preferential loan sources from credit institutions, and encourages members to participate in technical training courses to confidently seek out economic development models.
In 2022, Ms. Oanh had the honor of joining the Party. “At first, I only thought of joining the association to be part of the movement, but the more I participated, the more I became addicted. I saw that the women's movement was becoming increasingly dynamic and helpful to me, especially in sharing experiences in economic activities, raising children, and building happy families. When I had the honor of joining the Party, I felt I needed to try harder and be more active in the association's work, especially in leveraging my youthful energy to develop the association's models and movements,” Ms. Oanh confided.
Ms. Le Thi Van Trinh, born in 1984, Head of the Women's Association of Group 5, Thuy Luong Ward, Huong Thuy Town, had the honor of participating in the Party membership orientation course and will be recommended for Party membership next month.
As a key figure in the branch's activities, she always cares about the lives of its members. For women members facing unexpected difficulties, Ms. Trinh mobilizes the branch's women to work together to provide support. Ms. Trinh also acts as a bridge, creating an environment to bring women members together through sports activities and club events. This also provides a beneficial recreational space for members to participate in after their hard work.
“Being a Party member has always been my dream. Once I become a Party member, I will certainly strive tirelessly to contribute to the development of the local women's movement, worthy of the trust and affection that all levels and fellow members have placed in me,” Ms. Trinh shared.
Strong from the ground up
As the head of the branch association, Ms. Phung Thi Hoang Trang, head of Group 11, Thuan Loc Ward, Hue City, regularly pays attention to, understands, and listens to the thoughts and aspirations of women, thereby providing timely support and assistance to women and children in difficult circumstances; at the same time, she encourages women to participate in the branch association, especially self-employed women and those temporarily residing in the neighborhood.
Thanks to her exemplary leadership and her role in mobilizing members and women to actively participate in activities launched by the higher-level Women's Union, Ms. Trang was admitted to the Party in 2022.
From 2022 to the present, women's associations at all levels throughout the province have introduced and trained 235 outstanding members for the Party, and 104 members have officially joined the Party ranks, including more than 20 branch leaders and deputy branch leaders who have been admitted to the Party. This number is not yet truly large, but it represents the effort in building the movement and finding core individuals at the grassroots level.
Ms. Hoang Phuong Hien, Vice President of the Provincial Women's Union, stated: "Not only are they directly involved in disseminating the Party's guidelines and policies, the State's laws, and the activities of the Women's Union at all levels to members and the people, but the branch leaders and deputy leaders are also the ones with many innovative ideas and effective methods that bring practical rights and benefits to female members and their families. These actions contribute significantly to the socio-economic development of the locality. They are also an important factor in building the Women's Union."
During a recent working session with the Provincial Women's Union, the Standing Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Phan Ngoc Tho, emphasized that building the Union is the most important issue; finding and developing Party members among female members is a necessary requirement for building the women's movement.
