Consider awarding the title of artisan in the field of handicrafts

TTH.VN - On the afternoon of April 29, the Department of Industry and Trade held a conference to consider awarding the titles of "Hue Artisan", "People's Artisan", "Excellent Artisan" in the field of handicrafts and voted for typical rural industrial products (NTTB) of Hue City in 2025.

Accordingly, the criteria to become a “Hue Artisan” are that a person must meet the following conditions: Loyal to the Socialist Republic of Vietnam, strictly comply with the Party’s guidelines and policies and laws of the State; have good moral qualities, have exceptionally excellent knowledge and skills, and have made great contributions to protecting and promoting the value of the local handicraft industry. At the same time, have works and products that meet the criteria of winning Third Prize or higher or 2 Encouragement Prizes in competitions related to handicraft products by competent authorities at the provincial/municipal level; have worked continuously in the handicraft industry or have accumulated 12 years or more.

As for the awarding of the title “People’s Artisan”, in this field, it is also reserved for Vietnamese people residing in Hue City, working in the field of handicrafts; loyal to the Socialist Republic of Vietnam; having worked continuously in the handicrafts profession or a cumulative period of 20 years or more, having ethics, enthusiasm, and dedication to the profession…

This year's selection of NTTB industrial products at the city level is also for industrial and handicraft products (CN-TTCN) in rural industrial establishments directly invested in districts, towns and wards (belonging to districts) converted from communes within 5 years as stipulated in Decree 45/2012/ND-CP dated May 21, 2012 of the Government .

The organization of the evaluation and awarding of the title of Artisan in the field of handicrafts and traditional handicraft products in the locality in 2025 aims to recognize the contributions of artisans; honor artisans who have contributed to the development of traditional handicrafts and handicrafts in Hue. At the same time, to encourage, motivate and commend rural industrial establishments whose products have been voted as traditional handicraft products in the city.
