Xiaomi to launch Mix Flip 2 at the end of June with many upgrades.

Xiaomi has posted images confirming that it will launch the Xiaomi MIX Flip in June 2025, and this information has also been cited by Gizmochina and GSMArena.

The Xiaomi MIX Flip 2 is expected to be Xiaomi's next-generation clamshell foldable smartphone, and the device appears to have upgraded hardware specifications and camera system compared to its predecessor, the Xiaomi MIX Flip (which is scheduled to launch in July 2024).

According to Xiaomi's announcement, the MIX Flip 2 will be equipped with Leica lenses, marking a major upgrade in photography for Xiaomi's flip phone line. The camera system is expected to include a 50MP main sensor and a 50MP ultra-wide-angle lens, supporting versatile photography in various conditions.

The device will feature a 6.85-inch foldable OLED display with 1.5K resolution and a 120Hz refresh rate, providing a smooth and sharp viewing experience. The Xiaomi MIX Flip 2 will likely run HyperOS 2 based on Android 15, optimizing performance and multitasking capabilities for its unique foldable design.

Xiaomi's Chief Marketing Officer, Siqi Wei, revealed in a Weibo post that the company's President, Lu Weibing, recently had discussions with users of the Xiaomi Mix Flip.

She believes the discussion covered the positive aspects of using the phone, as well as its limitations and features that could be improved. This suggests the company is genuinely looking to improve the current clamshell flip phone model. Therefore, we may soon see the Xiaomi Mix Flip 2.

This foldable phone is expected to launch alongside the Redmi K80 Ultra and a gaming-focused Redmi tablet. The Mix Flip 2 is said to be thinner and lighter than the current model, with a thickness of 7.8mm when unfolded and weighing 192g. Previous leaks suggested the phone might be 7.6mm thick when unfolded and weigh around 190g.
