Stirring clip of female student in Ho Chi Minh City being beaten and stripped of clothes

On the afternoon of October 19, responding to VTC News, a representative of the Department of Education and Training of Ho Chi Minh City confirmed that the Department had learned of the incident involving a clip being spread on social media, recording a female student wearing the uniform of Trung My Tay 1 Secondary School (Hoc Mon District).

According to this representative, the incident happened at a cafe outside the school campus.

"The Department of Education and Training of Hoc Mon district has reported the incident to the Department. The Department has received initial information and is verifying it," said this representative.

Specifically, on the evening of October 18, a 30-second clip was circulated on social media, recording a female student being beaten and stripped of her clothes by a student wearing the uniform of Trung My Tay 1 Secondary School (Hoc Mon District) while other students witnessed and cheered without any intervention.

Recently, many clips have appeared on social networks recording images of students fighting. On September 26, a clip appeared of students from Hoang Hoa Tham Secondary School (Tan Binh District, Ho Chi Minh City) fighting in the school's female restroom.

Immediately afterwards, the Department of Education and Training of Tan Binh District coordinated with Tan Binh District Police and Ward 13 Police to investigate.

According to a report on September 29 by the Department of Education and Training of Tan Binh District, the above incident occurred at Hoang Hoa Tham Secondary School around December 2022.

At that time, TP (grade 8) had a conflict with YL (grade 7) so they invited TH and YN (also in grade 8) to ask YL to go to the school's female restroom to talk. After that, this group beat YL and recorded the clip, but did not post it online.

YL talked to her mother and the school worked with the parents to resolve the matter.

However, on September 26, 2023, the above clip was spread on social networks. The reason was that the Facebook account of a 9A9 student at Hoang Hoa Tham Secondary School was hacked. This person used the account to text the students involved in the clip and demand money, if they did not give it, he would post the clips on social networks.

The group of students involved refused to pay so the clip was posted on social media.

As soon as receiving the information, Hoang Hoa Tham Secondary School coordinated with Tan Binh District Police (Security Team), Ward 13 People's Committee, Ward 13 Police, Ward 13 Women's Union and parents of related students to resolve the incident.
