According to the representative, the incident occurred at a cafe outside the school grounds.
"The Hoc Mon District Department of Education and Training has reported the incident to the Provincial Department of Education. The Provincial Department has received initial information and is currently verifying it," the representative said.
Specifically, on the evening of October 18th, a 30-second video clip circulated on social media showing a female student being beaten and stripped of her clothes by a student wearing the uniform of Trung My Tay 1 Secondary School (Hoc Mon district) in the presence of other students who cheered and did not intervene.
Recently, many videos depicting students fighting have appeared on social media. On September 26th, a video surfaced showing students from Hoang Hoa Tham Secondary School (Tan Binh District, Ho Chi Minh City) fighting in the girls' restroom.
Immediately afterwards, the Tan Binh District Department of Education and Training, in coordination with the Tan Binh District Police and the Police of Ward 13, launched an investigation to clarify the matter.
According to a report dated September 29th from the Tan Binh District Department of Education and Training, the aforementioned incident occurred at Hoang Hoa Tham Secondary School around December 2022.
At that time, TP (8th grade) had a conflict with YL (7th grade), so she invited TH and YN (also 8th graders) to go with her and ask YL to go into the girls' restroom at the school to talk. Afterwards, this group beat YL and filmed it, but did not distribute the video online.
YL spoke with her mother, and the school coordinated with the parents to resolve the issue.
However, on September 26, 2023, the clip was leaked on social media. The reason was that the Facebook account of a 9th-grade student from Hoang Hoa Tham Secondary School was hacked. The hacker used the account to send messages demanding money from the students involved in the clip, threatening to release the clips on social media if they did not pay.
The group of students involved refused to pay, so the video was leaked on social media.
Upon receiving the information, Hoang Hoa Tham Secondary School coordinated with the Tan Binh District Police (Security Team), the People's Committee of Ward 13, the Ward 13 Police, the Ward 13 Women's Union, and the parents of the students involved to resolve the incident.
