'Handle the wrongdoers, protect the enterprising'

On the morning of May 14, Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh and a delegation of the National Assembly (NA) in Can Tho city had a meeting with voters and workers in the city before the 5th session of the 5th National Assembly.

At the meeting, voters recommended to the Prime Minister and the National Assembly deputies' delegations on practical and urgent issues such as wages, housing needs, daycares in industrial zones, black credit problems, and the situation of impersonating fraud to appropriate property...

“Do not criminalize civil relations”

At the meeting with voters, Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh noted to further promote the prevention of corruption and negativity, and step up the inspection, investigation and trial of individuals who take advantage of policies and collude for personal gain.

"Do not criminalize civil relations and do not criminalize economic relations, but those who attempt to do so, those who are corrupt and negative, must be dealt with. Deal with those who do wrong, protect those who do right"- said the Prime Minister.

According to the Prime Minister, handle some people who do wrong to set an example and protect many people who do right. Whoever colludes, whoever has a conspiracy, has negative corrupt intentions that can be proven, must be dealt with. Those who do legitimate business, do business unfortunately because of this and that, without self-interest, must protect, suggest they overcome the consequences and find a way to return the money.

"We are completing a number of regulations and regulations to protect those who dare to think, dare to do and dare to take responsibility. Not because of anti-corruption but fear, as the General Secretary said. Do pure, no self-interest, no personal; For the sake of the people, the interests of the collective, the interests of the nation, no one will not protect it.

Both sides must be clear. On the one hand, protection is encouraged, but on the other hand, it must fight negative elements, corruption, waste, affecting national interests. Room is basic, long-term strategy, decisive; while anti is regular, important, breakthrough and has a central focus"- emphasized the Prime Minister.

Mobilizing 400.000 billion for transportation infrastructure

The Prime Minister also noted promoting three strategic breakthroughs, which are institutional reform and improvement; training human resources and infrastructure (concentrating on highway infrastructure). In particular, in terms of infrastructure, the Prime Minister said that this term, more than 3 billion VND was mobilized for transport infrastructure, 400.000-3 times higher than in previous terms, more than 4 projects had to be cut to focus on key projects.

The Government proposes to the National Assembly to allocate resources for the highest Mekong Delta region in the country. The Mekong Delta has two largest expressways, namely the North-South Expressway (from Ho Chi Minh City to Ca Mau) and the East-West Expressway (Chau Doc - Can Tho - Soc Trang Expressway). Besides, the high-speed railway project has applied for guidelines, including the priority route from Ho Chi Minh City to Can Tho, is currently building the project, negotiating with partners. "We have to step up infrastructure, open the highway to where it is, develop there. This is the effort of the entire Party and people"- said the Prime Minister.

Regarding ensuring social security, social housing and housing for workers, the Prime Minister emphasized:The Government had a Directive, then issued a plan to implement 1 million houses by 2030, asking provinces to implement.
