Publishing books about value systems in the new era.

The book "National Value System, Cultural Value System, Family Value System and Human Norms of Vietnamese People in the New Era" affirms that the research, development, and implementation of these value systems play a crucial role and have significant meaning in promoting Vietnamese cultural values ​​and human strength in building and protecting the Fatherland, and developing a prosperous and happy country in the coming period.

The National Political Publishing House has just published the book "National Value System, Cultural Value System, Family Value System and Human Norms of Vietnamese People in the New Era". The book was first published in 2022 and reprinted in 2023. In this edition, the National Political Publishing House retains the positions and workplaces of the comrades in the Content Compilation Steering Committee as well as the authors of the articles from the time the Conference was held (November 29, 2022).

The building of national values, cultural values, family values, and the standards of Vietnamese humanity is a crucial issue, repeatedly addressed and affirmed by the Party and President Ho Chi Minh, and continuously supplemented and perfected in various documents and resolutions.

By the 13th National Congress of the Party (2021), the development of these values ​​and norms had been elevated to a new level of awareness, considered a central and fundamental task in building and developing Vietnamese culture and people, contributing to establishing a solid foundation for culture to truly become the spiritual foundation of society, and an important endogenous resource of the country on the path to rapid and sustainable development.

The book is titled "National Value System, Cultural Value System, Family Value System, and Human Norms of Vietnamese People in the New Era".

However, making these values ​​deeply ingrained and become a natural part of people's daily lives is not an easy task that can be done overnight. It requires the involvement of the entire political system with synchronized solutions and, most importantly, persistent, serious, and continuous implementation.

Implementing the Resolution of the 13th National Congress of the Party, and thoroughly understanding the directives of General Secretary Nguyen Phu Trong at the National Cultural Conference on the implementation of the Resolution of the 13th National Congress of the Party on November 24, 2021: “Highly promoting the cultural values, strength and spirit of dedication of all Vietnamese people, creating endogenous resources and breakthrough driving forces to successfully achieve the goals of national development by 2025, 2030, and the vision of 2045”, the Central Propaganda Department, in coordination with the Central Theoretical Council, the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism, and the Vietnam Academy of Social Sciences , organized the national workshop “National Value System, Cultural Value System, Family Value System and Norms of Vietnamese People in the New Era”.

The seminar is not only an opportunity to reaffirm the importance of national values, cultural values, family values, and the standards of Vietnamese people in the new era, but also contributes to clarifying and developing the cultural content, creating a foundation for effectively and creatively implementing the task of building and promoting Vietnamese cultural values ​​and human strength, meeting the requirements of sustainable national development.

Based on over 80 papers submitted to the conference by representatives from various ministries, departments, localities, a number of academies, universities, research institutes, and many dedicated scientists, the National Political Publishing House has selected and published them as a book with the same title.

The book consists of five parts: Human values ​​and norms; Family values; Cultural values; National values; and General issues.

The articles in this book focus on analyzing, discussing, and clarifying the national value system, cultural value system, family value system, and human standards of Vietnam; and the dialectical relationship between these value systems.

With diverse and rich content such as: "The urgency and requirements for building a national value system, cultural value system, family value system and human standards of Vietnamese people in the new era"; "Building a system of human values ​​of Vietnamese people in the current period"; "On the issue of building human standards of Vietnamese people"; "Building a system of human standards of Vietnamese people today to put into practice"; "Building progressive Vietnamese families in the new era: current situation and issues that need attention"; “Building the Vietnamese Family Value System in the New Situation,”… this book is the result of theoretical research and practical summaries by the Party, the State, political and social organizations, as well as the concerns, thoughts, and contributions of a large number of scientists, artists, officials, Party members, and the people of Vietnam on implementing the construction of national values, cultural values, and human standards for Vietnamese people, associated with preserving and developing the Vietnamese family value system in the new era…
