The 9th Buon Ma Thuot Coffee Festival in 2025 (referred to as the festival) has come to an end, but it still leaves many emotions for the locals and tourists.

Although they have been coffee farmers and residents of Dak Lak for nearly 30 years, this is the first time Mrs. Tran Thi Huong's family (Cu Dlie M'nong commune, Cu M'gar district) has participated in the festival.

Ms. Huong shared: "Throughout the year, we work hard to harvest coffee beans, and we are delighted that the recent increase in coffee prices has made farmers extremely happy. Therefore, many have temporarily set aside their farming work to attend the festival. Although I only had time to participate for a single day, I was impressed and broadened my horizons by the colorful street festival, along with the specialized coffee and OCOP product exhibition with hundreds of booths displaying coffee products, equipment, machinery, fertilizers, and typical agricultural products from various localities across the country..."

Eager and excited to participate in the festival, Mr. Nong Van Mong (Ea Tan commune, Krong Nang district) said that the festival brought special emotions to the people of Dak Lak as well as friends from near and far. "When I gathered with everyone at 10-3 Square to enjoy the opening ceremony filled with Central Highlands music , especially with hearts beating in unison while waiting for the spectacular fireworks display, I felt proud and loved this land and its people even more. Besides that, the free coffee and the enthusiastic welcome from the stalls at the exhibition and the cafes in Buon Ma Thuot city left a lasting impression on visitors about the friendliness and hospitality of this land known as the 'coffee capital' of the country," Mr. Mong expressed.

Traveling hundreds of kilometers to Buon Ma Thuot City for the festival, Ms. Nguyen Thi Lan (from Ho Chi Minh City) was extremely delighted to see the friendly and gentle elephants, learn about the elephant health blessing ceremony, and immerse herself in the lively atmosphere of the dugout canoe racing festival… Ms. Lan confided: “Although somewhat tired from the long journey, under the sun and wind of the highlands to reach localities in Dak Lak province to participate in the festival activities, for those who love culture and tourism, this is a precious opportunity to experience and learn about the unique cultural features of this windy plateau region.” During her festival trip, Ms. Lan and many other tourists also considered it an opportunity to explore the beloved land of Dak Lak. Having been held nine times, the Buon Ma Thuot Coffee Festival is a great source of pride for the people of Dak Lak. Especially for those who live far from home, they still follow and cherish this special event.

Having left her hometown of Dak Lak to live and work in Japan for more than 5 years, Ms. Tran Thi Song (Ea M'nang commune, Cu M'gar district) still feels nostalgic and excited to follow the activities of the Buon Ma Thuot Coffee Festival through the media.

She shared: “Although I couldn't attend the festival in person, I feel very proud to see Buon Ma Thuot City and Dak Lak province developing more and more. The festival is an opportunity to enhance the status of Vietnamese coffee beans and honor the silent contributions of coffee growers. I hope that the Buon Ma Thuot coffee brand will continue to grow and reach even further.”
