(Dan Tri Newspaper) - The leader of a commune in Nha Trang city, Khanh Hoa province, said that they are inviting many people to identify the owner of the land near the cemetery that the suspects rented to build a factory producing 1.4 tons of drugs.
On March 28, in an interview with Dan Tri newspaper, the leader of Vinh Luong commune (Nha Trang city, Khanh Hoa province) stated that the local authorities are investigating the owner of the land that the suspects rented to build a factory producing 1.4 tons of drugs.
"We are inviting some relevant households to identify the owner of the land. Once the owner is identified, the local authorities will submit a report to Nha Trang city," said the leader of Vinh Luong commune.

According to an official working in Nha Trang city, the land where the drug manufacturing plant was located is agricultural land. All structures built on this land are unauthorized and fall under the jurisdiction of the Vinh Luong Commune People's Committee.
According to reports, on March 28, law enforcement continued to cordon off and secure the scene at a 1,000m2 plot of land in the northern cemetery and at house number 47, Cat Loi village, Vinh Luong commune, Nha Trang city - where equipment for producing 1.4 tons of drugs was located.
The workshop is located in the northern cemetery area, which is uninhabited, more than 500m away from the burial ground, less than 1km from National Highway 1, and nearly 10km from the center of Nha Trang city; house number 47 in Cat Loi village is located right in the residential area, facing National Highway 1.

People often pass by the cemetery area and learn that the blue building containing drug manufacturing equipment is usually closed during the day, so residents don't notice anything unusual.
According to Mr. Thi, a shop owner living near house number 47 in Cat Loi village, this place used to be a small garment factory, but due to unprofitable business, the owner leased it out. Since the end of last year, he and his wife have occasionally seen delivery trucks coming and going.
"We thought they were trading in seafood, who would have guessed!", Mr. Thi said.
According to information from the Drug Crime Investigation Department - Ministry of Public Security , in 2021, Truong Xuan Minh (51 years old, a Taiwanese national) came to Vietnam under the guise of investing in and raising ornamental fish.
In November 2024, Truong Xuan Minh hired someone to rent a 1,000m2 plot of land in the northern cemetery area and house number 47 in Cat Loi village to use as a drug manufacturing facility.
Subsequently, the "kingpin" hired workers to set up the factory and purchased equipment to facilitate the production of illegal substances.
