The Yen Lac commune police are equipping students with traffic safety skills to protect them ahead of the 2026 summer vacation.
Building a core force
From the beginning of 2026, the Yen Lac Commune Police proactively advised the Party Committee to issue a specialized resolution on ensuring security and order, determined to build a drug-free area. To realize this political determination, the role of the grassroots security force was placed at the center, leading the mass movement. The commune has reorganized and recognized 25 security and order protection teams in the villages with a total of 83 members. The management, personnel record keeping, and provision of benefits and policies are carried out systematically, scientifically, and in accordance with the Law on Forces Participating in Protecting Security and Order at the Grassroots Level.
Assessing the importance of this model, Lieutenant Colonel Thieu Quang Hao - Head of Yen Lac Commune Police, said: “The political security and social order in the area are basically stable. The fight against crime has achieved many positive results. This is thanks to the grassroots security forces who have maximized their core role, helping the commune police to understand the situation, detect and handle incidents promptly from the moment they arise.”
The regular presence of local security officers in the area has brought peace of mind to the people. In the first six months of 2026, there were no complex criminal incidents in the area. Minor internal conflicts, land disputes, and emotional disagreements were all resolved at the grassroots level by the security forces in coordination with the Party branch and the village management board, preventing the emergence of hotspots.

The police in Yen Lac commune are raising awareness and guiding residents to sign a commitment not to dry agricultural products on the roads.
For example, at 12:00 PM on January 4, 2026, at the Hoc Sau pumping station area in Vinh Trung 2 village, the local police team of the commune police promptly inspected and discovered three teenagers in possession of 17 balloon-shaped objects suspected to be firecrackers, weighing 0.134 kg. This prevented the potential danger of firecrackers before the Lunar New Year. With the effective coordination of local security forces, the commune police also promptly handled five cases, encouraging residents to surrender weapons, explosives, and other supporting tools. Simultaneously, they organized a high-intensity campaign to combat and suppress drug-related crimes under the theme "A shared determination to build a drug-free society," resolutely pushing back drug abuse from social life.
Innovation for the People
In addition to participating in maintaining neighborhood security, the local security force of Yen Lac commune also closely coordinates with the regular police force to effectively implement key tasks, creating strong changes in administrative management and digital transformation. During the campaign to implement the Government 's Project 06, with the motto "going to every alley, knocking on every door, checking every person," the force assisted in cleaning up data for 314 cases of children who had not yet registered their permanent residence; successfully guided the activation of 7,014 VNeID level 2 electronic identity verification accounts and achieved 271/297 business accounts.

Police officers in Yen Lac commune guide residents on installing and activating electronic identity verification accounts and integrating important personal documents into the VNeID application.
The dedication of the police officers was demonstrated through the "Digital Summer with VNeID" campaign. Undeterred by rain or sunshine, the image of officers coordinating with the Fatherland Front Committee and the Youth Union of the commune to actively assist vulnerable citizens with mobile identity verification procedures left a deep impression. In addition, the unit also collaborated with the Yen Lac Regional Health Center to organize a program of free health check-ups, disease screenings, and medication distribution for over 100 people under social welfare policies. This series of humane activities clearly demonstrates the spirit of "When the people need help, when the people are in difficulty, the police are there."
Recognizing that public awareness campaigns are key to improving legal understanding, the Yen Lac Commune Police have innovated their thinking and diversified their approaches. The unit collaborated with other functional forces to organize extracurricular programs on drowning prevention and traffic safety for students at Yen Lac Town Secondary School; they also launched campaigns to install warning signs reading "Don't drink and drive" at restaurants and eateries, and guided business owners to sign commitments to ensure public order and security. Faced with the problem of encroachment on roads and sidewalks, the Commune Police directly advised the Commune People's Committee to launch a campaign to clear traffic safety corridors on key provincial roads, requiring businesses to voluntarily dismantle illegal awnings and advertising signs.
In the coming period, the Yen Lac Commune Police will continue to strengthen patrols and controls; promote online public services and guide the integration of social security accounts on VNeID; and determine that building a solid people's security posture from the roots is a strong foundation to protect the achievements of socio-economic development, contributing to maintaining peace and security, and living up to the trust and love that the Party and the people have placed in them.
