Patriotism in the third region

Mr. Luong Dinh Chuyen, Chairman of the Quang Trung Commune People's Committee, said: To strongly spread the patriotic emulation movement to a large number of officials, civil servants, and people in the commune, every year, the commune Party Committee and government lead and direct the development of plans, launch emulation movements, and implement comprehensive solutions from the beginning of the year. Accordingly, the commune launches widespread emulation movements throughout the political system and all strata of the people. Typical examples include the movements: "Joining hands to build new rural areas"; "For the poor - Leaving no one behind"; "Officials, civil servants, and employees compete to implement workplace culture"; "Joining hands to eliminate temporary and dilapidated houses"... which have been focused on implementation and received positive responses from the people.

Currently, the Farmers' Association of the commune has 731 members operating in 10 grassroots branches. Mr. Hoang Van Chung, Chairman of the Farmers' Association of the commune, said: In response to the emulation movements launched by the Commune People's Committee, the Farmers' Association has closely directed the branches to strengthen propaganda to help members understand the content, purpose, and significance of the movement and register to participate. At the same time, the association focuses on supporting members with capital, science and technology... to help people have more resources to develop their economy , making the movement increasingly effective. Every year, the entire commune has 85 member households registering for the title of excellent production and business households at all levels, and 100% of them achieve the title; the percentage of poor member households is now 31.3%, a decrease of 14% compared to 2023. The successful implementation of the emulation movement has contributed to helping the Farmers' Association of the commune always complete the assigned targets and is evaluated as having excellently completed its tasks. Thanks to these efforts, the HND (Farmers' Association) of the commune has received numerous certificates of merit and commendations from various levels and sectors.

Not only the HND (Farmers' Association) of the commune, but over the years, various organizations, associations, and officials and employees in the commune have actively responded to emulation movements. Through these movements, they have gradually become an important driving force, truly integrated into daily life, inspiring, motivating, and attracting a large number of people from all walks of life to participate.

Regarding the New Rural Development movement, from 2020 to the present, the entire commune has mobilized people to donate over 3,300 square meters of land and thousands of man-days of labor to build rural roads, village cultural houses, schools, etc. To date, the commune has achieved 7 out of 19 criteria for New Rural Development.

Mr. Nong Van Thang, from Ban Chang village, said: "Born and raised in a purely agricultural family, with income mainly from farming, land is more precious than gold to me. However, after the commune government explained the purpose and significance of expanding rural roads, my family agreed with the commune's policy and agreed to donate 700 square meters of garden and forest land. I am very happy that the land donated by my family has contributed to expanding the road, providing people with a wider and more convenient concrete road."

Furthermore, within the "Joining Hands for the Poor - Leaving No One Behind" movement, the People's Committee of the commune has incorporated sustainable poverty reduction into the goals, tasks, and solutions in the commune's key socio-economic development programs and plans. Accordingly, to provide people with resources for production development, the commune's Party Committee and government have directed organizations and associations to assist poor and near-poor households in accessing preferential loans from banks; and to leverage resources from national target programs to support people in developing production. At the same time, the People's Committee of the commune, in coordination with relevant units, organizes 4-5 training courses on technology transfer and 1-2 vocational training courses on livestock farming and forestry for the people annually. Thanks to this, the entire commune has now developed effective economic models such as: organic anise cultivation, beekeeping for honey production, raising six-toed chickens, and commercial guinea fowl farming… Currently, the average per capita income in the commune reaches 34.8 million VND/person/year; the poverty rate in the commune is only 14.87% (a decrease of 15.32% compared to 2023).

Mr. Trieu Van Bao, from Keo Gieng village, said: "In 2022, guided by the Farmers' Association of the commune, I and 35 members established a beekeeping cooperative with over 200 bee colonies. In 2023, the cooperative's 'Sim Flower Honey' product was evaluated and ranked as a 3-star OCOP product at the district level. Thanks to this, the market has expanded, serving not only customers in the district but also customers in other provinces and cities. On average, the cooperative sells over 300 liters of honey annually, at a price of 350,000 to 400,000 VND/liter, bringing in an income of 30-40 million VND/person/year for each member after deducting expenses."

In addition, implementing the Program to eliminate temporary and dilapidated houses according to Resolution No. 188 of the Provincial Party Committee, the commune has completed 19 out of 19 houses; implementing the Program to eliminate temporary and dilapidated houses according to Decision No. 1025 of the Provincial People's Committee, the commune has completed 82 out of 82 houses, achieving 100% of the assigned plan (This is the earliest completed commune in the entire district).

Mr. Nguyen Manh Tuan, Chairman of the People's Committee of Binh Gia District, commented: Quang Trung is a disadvantaged commune in the district, facing many difficulties. In recent years, the patriotic emulation movement has been launched and widely implemented by the commune's Party committees and authorities in all fields. This has created a vibrant atmosphere of competition, motivating and encouraging collectives and individuals to overcome difficulties and strive to achieve the key goals and tasks set forth. It is also a leading unit in the patriotic emulation movement in the district.

Thanks to these efforts, many collectives and individuals in the commune have been commended by various levels and sectors. In May 2025, Quang Trung commune was honored to be one of the five outstanding collectives in the province to receive the Government's emulation flag for excellently completing its work tasks and leading the patriotic emulation movement in 2024.
