Mr. Luong Dinh Chuyen, Chairman of Quang Trung Commune People's Committee, said: In order to strongly spread the patriotic emulation movement to a large number of cadres, civil servants, public employees and people in the commune, every year, the Party Committee and the commune government lead and direct the development of plans, launch emulation movements and synchronously deploy solutions right from the beginning of the year. Accordingly, the commune launches emulation movements throughout the political system and all classes of people. Typical movements include: "Joining hands to build new rural areas (NTM)"; "For the poor - No one is left behind"; "Cadres, civil servants, and public employees compete to practice office culture"; "Joining hands to eliminate temporary and dilapidated houses" ... are focused on implementation and receive positive response from the people.

Currently, the Commune Farmers' Association has 731 members operating in 10 grassroots branches. Mr. Hoang Van Chung, Chairman of the Commune Farmers' Association (HND), said: Responding to the emulation movements launched by the Commune People's Committee, the HND has closely directed the branches to strengthen propaganda to help members understand the content, purpose, and meaning of the movement and respond to register to participate. At the same time, the association focuses on supporting members in terms of capital, science and technology... so that people have more resources to develop the economy , making the movement increasingly effective. Every year, the whole commune has 85 member households registering for the title of good production and business households at all levels, of which 100% have achieved the above title; the rate of poor member households is now 31.3%, down 14% compared to 2023. The good implementation of the emulation movement has contributed to helping the Commune Farmers' Association always fulfill assigned targets and be assessed as having excellently completed its tasks. With those efforts, the commune's Farmers' Association has been awarded certificates of merit many times from all levels and sectors.

Not only the Commune Farmers’ Association, in recent years, mass organizations and cadres, civil servants and public employees in the commune have actively responded to emulation movements. Thereby, the movements have gradually become an important driving force, truly entering life, arousing, motivating and attracting a large number of people from all walks of life to respond and participate.

Regarding the movement to build new rural areas, from 2020 to present, the whole commune has mobilized people to donate over 3,300 m2 of land and thousands of working days to build rural roads, build village cultural houses, schools, etc. Up to now, the commune has achieved 7/19 criteria for building new rural areas.

Mr. Nong Van Thang, Ban Chang village said: Born and raised in a farming family, the main income comes from farming, so to me land is more precious than gold. However, when the commune government propagandized and explained the purpose and significance of expanding rural roads, my family agreed with the commune's policy and agreed to donate 700m2 of garden land and forestry land. I am very happy because my family's donated land has contributed to expanding the road so that people have a wider and more convenient concrete road.

In the movement "Joining hands for the poor - Leaving no one behind", the People's Committee of the commune has included sustainable poverty reduction in the goals, tasks and solutions in the key socio-economic development programs and plans of the commune. Accordingly, in order for people to have resources to invest in production development, the Party Committee and the commune government have directed organizations and unions to receive the trust to support poor and near-poor households to access preferential capital from banks; taking advantage of support resources from national target programs to support people in production development. At the same time, every year, the People's Committee of the commune coordinates with related units to organize 4-5 training courses on technology transfer and 1-2 vocational training courses on animal husbandry and forestry for people. Thanks to that, up to now, the whole commune has formed effective economic models such as: organic star anise growing, beekeeping for honey, raising 6-toed chickens, raising commercial bamboo rats... Currently, the average income per capita of the whole commune reaches 34.8 million VND/person/year; the poverty rate of the whole commune is 14.87% (down 15.32% compared to 2023).

Mr. Trieu Van Bao, Keo Gieng village said: In 2022, with the guidance of the Commune Farmers' Association, I and 35 members established a Honey Beekeeping Cooperative with over 200 bee colonies. In 2023, the cooperative's "Sim Flower Honey" product was evaluated and classified as a 3-star OCOP product at the district level. Thanks to that, the consumption market has expanded, not only serving customers in the district but also being sought and used by customers in other provinces and cities. On average, each year, the group sells over 300 liters of honey, with a selling price of 350,000 to 400,000 VND/liter, bringing in an income for group members of 30 - 40 million VND/person/year after deducting expenses.

In addition, implementing the Program to eliminate temporary and dilapidated houses according to Resolution No. 188 of the Provincial Party Standing Committee, the commune has completed 19/19 houses; implementing the Program to eliminate temporary and dilapidated houses according to Decision No. 1025 of the Provincial People's Committee, the commune has completed 82/82 houses, reaching 100% of the assigned plan (This is the commune that completed the earliest in the whole district).

Mr. Nguyen Manh Tuan, Chairman of Binh Gia District People's Committee commented: Quang Trung is a commune in the third region of the district with many difficulties. In recent years, the patriotic emulation movement has been launched and widely implemented in all fields by Party committees and commune authorities at all levels. From there, it has created a vibrant competitive atmosphere, motivating and encouraging collectives and individuals to overcome difficulties and strive to achieve the set goals and key tasks. This is also a typical unit leading the patriotic emulation movement in the district.

With the above efforts, many collectives and individuals in the commune have been commended by all levels and sectors. In May 2025, Quang Trung commune was honored to be one of the 5 outstanding collectives of the province to receive the Government's emulation flag for excellently completing its tasks and leading the patriotic emulation movement in 2024.
