In recent years, investment in building tourism infrastructure and improving service quality has always been a priority for all levels, sectors, and localities in the province. This is considered a "paving the way" factor, promoting tourism development and increasing its attractiveness to tourists.
Homestays in the Bản Mạ tourist area (Thường Xuân district) have been built to serve tourists.
In terms of the speed of infrastructure and technical facilities development serving tourism in the province in recent years, Nghi Son town is perhaps the first name that comes to mind. Identifying tourism as a key economic sector, the town has prioritized resources for tourism development. This includes focusing on attracting investors to build and improve the system of accommodation facilities and hotels; large-scale restaurants and food service establishments; and a comprehensive, modern, and high-quality entertainment complex to serve a wide range of tourists. According to statistics, the town has 108 tourist accommodation establishments, including 1 four-star hotel, 6 three-star hotels, 23 one- and two-star hotels, and 78 guesthouses, all meeting the needs of tourists. Many tourist accommodations in the town have innovated their business methods to suit the current situation, such as harmoniously combining food and accommodation services with other supplementary services (hall rental, karaoke, etc.). As a result, they have attracted a large number of tourists, notably hotels like Xanh HaACB Hotel, Ngoc Linh Hotel, Dai Duong Hotel, and Hai Hoa Garden Hotel...
Furthermore, the town has prioritized investment in infrastructure for tourist areas and attractions, focusing particularly on the Hai Hoa beach tourist area, with an emphasis on investing in lighting systems, greenery, and water supply and drainage systems. Annually, the People's Committee of Nghi Son town also directs communes and wards to strengthen management, ensure security, safety, and quality of tourism services, maintaining Nghi Son's image as an attractive, safe, and friendly tourist destination. Thanks to the completion of technical infrastructure and the improvement of service quality, the number of tourists visiting and staying in Nghi Son has increased significantly in recent years.
In Thuong Xuan district, Mr. Le Huu Giap, Head of the District's Culture and Information Department, said: In recent years, the district's "non-polluting industry" (tourism) has made remarkable progress. Along with investing in infrastructure and improving the tourism environment, the district has continuously improved the quality of services to attract tourists. Over the years, the district has attracted investment in many projects serving tourism development, such as the Golden Cow Farm project in Luong Son commune; the Thanh Tam bamboo ecological park project located in part of Tho Thanh commune; and the investment project for an ecological resort, elderly care, and entertainment area in the Xuan Lien Nature Reserve.
In addition, several small-scale infrastructure projects from the tourism development program have been implemented, such as: Investing in public toilet systems at tourist areas and attractions such as Thien Thuy Waterfall, Ma Village, Cua Dat Lake boat dock, and Cua Dat Temple with a total capital of over 2 billion VND (mainly supported by the provincial budget); electricity systems, and road construction to tourist destinations... Along with that, several tourism infrastructure projects in tourist areas and attractions in the district have been completed and put into use, such as: the road from Ma Village to Sao Va Waterfall; the road to Cam Ba Thuoc Temple; the environmental improvement project and investment in a waste collection system in Vin Village (Bat Mot Commune); the environmental improvement project and investment in a waste collection system in Tien Son 1 Village (Thuong Xuan Town)...
Currently, Thanh Hoa is one of the leading tourism centers in the country, with a system of hotels, accommodation facilities, and accompanying services highly rated by travel agencies. The province's tourism accommodation system is becoming increasingly diverse, including hotels, guesthouses, villas, and homestays. In particular, homestay tourism services in mountainous community tourism areas are attracting significant investor interest, transforming the landscape of accommodation and increasingly meeting the diverse needs of domestic and international tourists. It is estimated that the province has nearly 1,300 hotels and guesthouses with 47,300 rooms; and 194 households operating homestay services with a capacity of approximately 11,000 people.
In addition, the province has currently attracted 81 projects with a total registered investment capital of approximately 146 trillion VND. These include several large-scale, high-quality projects from major corporations in Vietnam such as: the hot spring resort urban area in Quang Yen commune (Quang Xuong district) by Sun Group Joint Stock Company; the hotel and commercial complex in Quang Nham commune (Quang Xuong district) by ORG Joint Stock Company; and the Flamingo Linh Truong Zone B project in Hoang Truong commune (Hoang Hoa district) by Flamingo Holding Group Joint Stock Company...
It can be said that with the majority of restaurants, hotels, and accommodation facilities being newly invested in with modern scale and equipment, and a wide range of supporting services, this not only demonstrates Thanh Hoa's capacity to welcome and serve tourists, but also contributes to renewing the image of Thanh Hoa tourism towards a more professional, civilized, and modern direction.
