108 inmates at Kenh 7 Prison were granted amnesty.

On the morning of June 1st, Kenh 7 Prison, under the C10 Department of the Ministry of Public Security, located in An Giang province, held a ceremony to announce the President's decision on the 2026 amnesty for 108 inmates currently serving prison sentences at the facility.

Speaking at the ceremony, Colonel Ta Duc Hoan, Superintendent of Kenh 7 Prison, emphasized that amnesty is a special policy of clemency of the State, reflecting the humanitarian tradition of the nation and opening up opportunities for those who have committed wrongdoings to reform. The Colonel urged the pardoned prisoners, upon returning to their localities, to strictly abide by the law, actively work, stabilize their lives, stay away from illegal activities, and strive to become useful members of their families and society.

For the remaining inmates, Colonel Ta Duc Hoan encouraged them to continue their rehabilitation with peace of mind, strictly abide by the regulations of the detention facility, actively study, work, and cultivate moral character, overcome the consequences of their criminal acts, and view those who received amnesty as role models to strive for.
