(HNMO) - On the afternoon of June 2, in Hanoi, the National Press Prize Council opened the final round of the 6th National Journalism Award 2022. The Preliminary Committee for the 157th National Press Prize selected 1.894 journalistic works from XNUMX entries.
Speaking at the opening ceremony, Member of the Party Central Committee, Editor-in-Chief of Nhan Dan Newspaper, Chairman of Vietnam Journalists Association, Chairman of the final panel of the 2022th National Press Prize, Le Quoc Minh emphasized: This year This is the 17th year the tournament is held. According to the report of the Preliminary Council, the number of works submitted to this year's Prize is still high. 72 members of the Preliminary Committee divided into 11 sub-committees to work with professionalism and high sense of responsibility, conduct appraisal, grade and submit to the Final Examination Board a list of 157 works belonging to 11 categories of prizes, awarded selected from 1.894 works submitted to participate.
In the final report of the award, Standing Vice Chairman of the Vietnam Journalists Association, Chairman of the Preliminary Council of the 2022th National Press Prize, Nguyen Duc Loi, said that the works submitted for the Prize were closely related to the following topics. from politics, economy, culture, society, security, defense and other aspects of life in 2022. The press has timely and boldly reflected on major events and important issues of the country. the country with outstanding topics such as: Party building and rectification, the fight against corruption and negativity, protecting the ideological foundation of the Party; efforts to restore socio-economic development and build an independent and self-reliant economy in the context of being heavily affected by the Covid-19 pandemic.
In addition, the works reflect outstanding economic issues (stock market, real estate market crisis, credit fraud, management loopholes, petroleum business...); "hot" social issues (drug problems in schools, trafficking in people to Cambodia, violations at religious establishments...); cultural topics, preserving and promoting national cultural identity; issues on protection of sovereignty over sea and islands, environmental protection, response to climate change...
Many works are carefully invested, the content is revealing and critical; Proposing many solutions, creations, ways of doing things that are pervasive and influential in society. The quality gap between central and local press agencies is not much.
The 2022th National Press Prize-21 will be awarded on the occasion of the Vietnam Revolutionary Press Day on June 6 this year.
