On the afternoon of June 17th, the People's Committee of Tam Giang commune ( Ca Mau province) reported that within just a few hours, from the night of June 16th to the early morning of the same day, three serious landslides occurred consecutively in the area, affecting 19 households and causing significant property damage.

Accordingly, natural disasters occurred consecutively at various locations in Tam Giang commune. Specifically, at around 11:20 PM on June 16th, a landslide occurred in the Kinh 17 covered market area, causing a section of the embankment approximately 40 meters long, 4 meters wide, and 4 meters deep to collapse, directly affecting 17 households with 28 business premises. Currently, relevant authorities are continuing to assess and compile a detailed report on the extent of the damage.
At approximately 0:20 AM on June 17th, a landslide occurred in Ben Dua hamlet, directly impacting a house and causing estimated property damage of around 300 million VND. Around 1:00 AM, another landslide occurred in Ho Gui hamlet, affecting a family's shack, with estimated damage of around 50 million VND.
Immediately after receiving reports from the area, the People's Committee of Tam Giang commune promptly mobilized police, militia, and local emergency response forces to help people urgently relocate their property and goods to safe places and implement initial measures to mitigate the consequences.
In addition, local government leaders have directly visited and encouraged affected households, and provided timely assistance to help families alleviate immediate difficulties and stabilize their lives as soon as possible.
