BHG - This April, in the northernmost region of Vietnam, there is a very special day for journalists: the 61st anniversary of the first issue of Ha Giang Newspaper (April 13, 1964 - 2025). Over 60 years have passed, and Ha Giang Newspaper has continuously grown stronger, delivering quick, accurate, and timely information to the people. Throughout those years, countless hours of dedication from journalists have contributed to building one of the most reputable and reliable newspapers, a source of great pride representing the voice of the Party Committee and the people of the province.

Ha Giang has the most rugged and difficult terrain in the country, yet its people have demonstrated unwavering resilience and perseverance, clinging to every inch of their homeland. Under such conditions, any job is challenging, and the most difficult is the work of journalists. To obtain rich, complete, and accurate information, journalists and reporters have trekked through forests, waded through deep streams, climbed high mountain passes, and overcome all barriers of language and customs of the ethnic minorities in the area to reflect the lives of the people as objectively and truthfully as possible. They promptly deliver information about the policies of the Party and State to the people and quickly convey the voices, hopes, and aspirations of the people to the government.

Beyond a deep love for journalism, the reporters of Ha Giang Newspaper always harbor a burning desire to contribute to the development of the rocky plateau region through their writing.

Publications from this rocky region, with contributions from reporters and journalists, have provided the people of the province with useful information to help build a new life, opened up a better understanding of life here for readers nationwide, and greatly contributed to bringing millions of tourists to visit Ha Giang.

Sixty-one years is not a very long time, but it's not short either. So many people have come and gone, and so many have stayed, yet Ha Giang Newspaper continues to grow stronger every day with publications full of unique character.

Over those 61 years, despite the many upheavals of the times, the journalists of Ha Giang have remained steadfast. They worked and reported amidst bombs and bullets during the wars to protect the Fatherland, bringing essential information to the press. Even in those places, they could fall at any moment due to falling bombs and stray bullets. When the country achieved peace and reunification, they traveled to the most remote and isolated areas, bringing the light of knowledge and the spirit of the times to the people in the highlands, even though each mission was fraught with difficulties. No matter when or where, generations of journalists in Ha Giang have always dedicated themselves with the highest spirit and determination, with a passionate and heartfelt love for their profession and their homeland.

Ha Giang is transforming day by day, and the Ha Giang Stone Plateau has become an extremely attractive destination for domestic and international tourists. In harmony with this continuous development, for the past 61 years, the publications of Ha Giang Newspaper have been like a flame, kept burning brightly in this rocky region by generations of staff, reporters, and editors.
