To apply, candidates must have an average score of 8.8-9.2/10 or higher in Math, Physics, Chemistry, Biology, and Computer Science in grade 11 and semester 1 or the entire grade 12 (depending on the batch). For private schools, Nguyen Tat Thanh University ( NTTU ) will accept applications based on transcripts the earliest, from January 2. The school said it will reserve 40% of its quota (4,000) for admission by this method.

Candidates need to meet one of the following criteria: average score of 3 semesters of high school (choose the subject with the highest score), or combined score of 3 subjects for admission in grade 12 is 18 or higher, or average score of the whole year of grade 12 is at least 6/10.

Gia Dinh University ( GDU ) this year recruits 2,024 students, 60% from academic records. Candidates submit their applications from January 5 if their average score of three semesters (grade 11 and semester I of grade 12) is 16.5 or higher.

According to Dr. Mai Duc Toan, Director of the Admissions and Communications Center, admission based on academic records is the school's main method because it attracts candidates' attention, reduces exam pressure, and provides diverse opportunities to choose majors and careers.

Hong Bang International University ( HIU ) opens the first round of registration for transcript review for 36 training majors, from January 6. Candidates can choose to review 3 semesters or a combination of 3 grade 12 subjects with a total score of 18 or higher (including priority points).

Ms. Tran Thuy Tram Quyen, Vice Principal, said that this year, the school will for the first time grant 100% tuition scholarships for the first semester, worth 12.5 million VND, to all new students in 28 majors, in the following groups: Economics - Management, Social Sciences, International Languages and Cultures, Technology - Engineering, Educational Sciences and Health. Candidates will pay tuition for the remaining two semesters of the year, about 42.5 million VND.

Candidates applying to Ho Chi Minh City University of Technology ( HUTECH ) can submit their first round of applications from January 8 to March 31. This year, the school reserves 50% of its quota (6,250) for considering academic records, in two groups: the average score of 3 subjects in grade 12 and the average score of three semesters (grade 11 and semester I of grade 12).

Master Nguyen Thi Xuan Dung, Director of HUTECH's Media Center, said the school will have 7 more admission rounds, lasting until mid-September. The results of the first round are expected to be announced at the end of March.

From January 15, a series of schools also accepted applications based on high school transcripts such as Van Lang University (VLU), Ho Chi Minh City University of Economics and Finance (UEF), and Saigon International University (SIU).

Ho Chi Minh City University of Economics and Finance reserves up to 70% of its quota (4,600) for admission based on academic records. Candidates can use their grade 12 scores based on a combination of three subjects or their average score of three semesters (grade 11 and semester I of grade 12), with a minimum of 18 points or more. Similarly, candidates can use these two groups of scores to apply for admission to 60 majors at Van Lang University .

For Saigon International University, instead of considering the transcripts of 5 semesters as before, the school will consider the results of 3 semesters (grade 11 and semester I of grade 12). Candidates need to have a conduct rating of semester I of grade 12 from good or higher; the average score of 3 semesters is from 6 and the total score of 3 subjects for admission is from 18 points or higher.

In addition, the school considers the 12th grade transcript scores separately. Candidates must have good conduct, a minimum annual average score of 6.5, and a total score of 3 subjects in the admission group of 20 points or more. Compared to previous years, this requirement is higher.

Most schools have multiple rounds of transcript review, lasting until August and September. Each school and major may have its own conditions, so candidates need to understand the information to avoid mistakes. Transcript review applications can be submitted in person, by post or online on the school's website.
