After 12 days of intense competition in the Group Stage and Quarterfinals, the heat of the AIC 2023 international tournament is reaching its peak with the Semifinals and Finals taking place this weekend. From December 23rd to 24th, the four best Arena of Valor teams will compete for the AIC 2023 championship trophy.
The Semifinals and Finals will see fierce competition between teams from the RoV Pro League (RPL) and Garena Challenger Series (GCS). RPL champions Talon will face their compatriots Valencia CF Esports in the first Semifinal match. Following that will be a clash between GCS champions Hong Kong Attitude and runners-up Flash Wolves – a rematch of the recent GCS Summer 2023 Finals.
1. Talon
Talon is recognized as a powerful force in the RPL league. 2023 also marks the team's return to the race for international championships since AWC 2021, where they won the title. Notably, Talon has won all their matches at AIC 2023 so far, only losing two games in the Quarterfinals. Will the RPL Winter 2023 champions once again demonstrate their dominance, reclaim the trophy, and leave their mark on the Arena of Valor esports map?
2. Valencia CF Esports (VCF)
Since the early days of AIC 2023, VCF has shown unwavering determination and relentless progress. Despite only ranking fifth in the RPL Winter 2023, VCF capitalized on opportunities to make history as the first Wildcard team to reach the top four of the international AIC tournament. The remaining teams will have to keep an eye on this dark horse as they officially debut in the AIC 2023 Semifinals this weekend.
3. Flash Wolves (FW)
FW has come a long way since winning the AoV Premier League (APL) international trophy in its inaugural tournament in 2020. Returning with a completely revamped roster, the team defeated APL 2022 champions Bacon Time 4-0 in the quarterfinals to secure their place in the semifinals. Although they never reached the pinnacle of glory in the GCS, FW never gave up on their dream of forging their own path in international Arena of Valor tournaments.
4. Hong Kong Attitude (HKA)
Similar to Talon, HKA has once again reached the semifinals of an international Arena of Valor tournament after their last top 4 finish at AIC 2021. The three-time GCS Summer champions easily secured a semifinal spot after defeating their compatriots BRO Esports in the quarterfinals with a 4:1 score. Let's follow the developments to see if the team ranked 3rd at AIC 2021 will be invincible in the battle for the championship this year.
Semi-final and Final Match Schedule
The semi-finals and finals will be held live at the Military Zone 7 Gymnasium (Ho Chi Minh City) on December 23rd and 24th. Ticket holders will receive limited-edition AIC gifts and attractive gift codes. Additionally, spectators can gather outside the venue and participate in watch parties and offline events to immerse themselves in the vibrant and exciting atmosphere of an international tournament.
Matches on both days will start at 12 PM. Fans from around the world can watch the opening ceremony on December 24th at 5 PM, featuring a live performance of the AIC 2023 theme song "Mark Your Legacy" by Myra Tran and SlimV. Additionally, a special announcement about Arena of Valor's 2024 plans will be revealed during the livestream on December 24th.
AIC 2023 will be broadcast on Arena of Valor's YouTube and Facebook channels, as well as on the Valor TV app. Garena will also introduce milestone events to help viewers earn additional in-game rewards at each unlocked view count milestone.
With Christmas and New Year approaching, festive in-game events and rewards await Liên Quân Mobile players.
