Apple launched the AirPods 4 in two versions. The higher-end version features active noise cancellation and Conversation Awareness – allowing users to hear surrounding noise and automatically reducing the volume when the system detects the owner starting a conversation.
In terms of battery life, Apple boasts that the USB-C charging case for the headphones offers a total battery life of up to 30 hours and wireless charging capabilities on the premium version.
Next up are the new AirPods Pro, which incorporate features to support hearing. Apple says users can use the Pro model in noisy environments to protect their hearing. Apple has also included a clinical hearing test on the iPhone so users can check their own hearing.
Additionally, Airpods Pro will also feature a new OTC hearing aid, expected to be updated in the near future. Essentially, OTC transforms Airpods Pro into a hearing aid, helping users hear surrounding sounds more clearly.
Meanwhile, the AirPods Max headphones feature upgraded USB-C charging and new color options including blue, black, purple, and orange. The AirPods Max retain their $549 price tag and will ship on September 20th.
