Heartwarming program 'Spring in the Homeland - Beloved Vietnamese Language' in Laos

According to the Vietnam News Agency correspondent in Laos, the program "Spring in the Homeland - Beloved Vietnamese Language" took place in Vientiane on the evening of February 7th.
This program was organized by the Vietnam Cultural Center in Laos, with the participation of representatives from the Vietnamese Embassy in Laos; Vietnamese expatriates from Laos and Thailand; former Lao students in Vietnam; and students from the Nguyen Du Lao-Vietnamese Bilingual School. Speaking at the event, Mr. Nguyen Phuc Sinh, Deputy Director of the Vietnam Cultural Center in Laos, stated that the program “Spring in the Homeland – Beloved Vietnamese Language” is one of the activities organized by the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism this year under the Project “Day of Honoring the Vietnamese Language in the Overseas Vietnamese Community, 2023-2030”. The program also aims to honor the beauty of the Vietnamese language through outstanding works of Vietnamese music and poetry; and to help the Vietnamese community in Laos and Thailand, as well as Lao people who know Vietnamese, appreciate the beauty of the Vietnamese language through poetic works expressed in Vietnamese. On this occasion, Mr. Nguyen Phuc Sinh expressed his hope that the Vietnamese communities in Laos and Thailand would love and cherish the Vietnamese language even more, and would pay even more attention to preserving and using the Vietnamese language in their families and communities, thereby contributing to maintaining the use of the Vietnamese language in the community and spreading it widely.
As part of the program, delegates enjoyed an artistic performance featuring songs and poems about President Ho Chi Minh , about the country and people of Vietnam, and the friendly relationship between Laos and Vietnam, performed in Vietnamese by former Lao students in Vietnam and students from the Nguyen Du Lao-Vietnamese Bilingual School.
