Sound of peace

A cultural performance at the program "Proud of Tradition - Continuing the Victories" organized by the Provincial Military Command.

Over 50,000 spectators filling My Dinh Stadium ( Hanoi ) placed their hands over their hearts and sang along to the "Marching Song" – the most moving and memorable moment of the "Homeland in My Heart" art program held on the evening of August 10th. Amidst the vibrant red flag with a yellow star, as the melody of this sacred anthem resounded, and as the artistic language set the rhythm for countless hearts to beat in unison, a profound sense of shared aspiration for the enduring existence of the homeland and nation surged like a rolling wave.

As an audience member, Phạm Thị Tố Uyên, a student at the Foreign Trade University from Hoằng Hóa commune ( Thanh Hóa province), shared her feelings as she joined the large crowd watching "The Homeland in My Heart" live: "My first feeling was one of pride and emotion at being immersed in such a meaningful artistic space. The program awakened in many students a patriotic spirit and deep gratitude by recreating historical milestones of the country associated with the image of the red flag with a yellow star, conveying a powerful message about national unity."

With its rich cultural and political content, "Homeland in My Heart" is not just a simple political and artistic program, but also a thread that heals the past, inspires the present, and paves the way for the future. And when viewers see themselves and their generation reflected in the flow of the nation's history, then "the homeland is not far away - the homeland is in the heart of each person."

In the endless flow of pride and love for the homeland, following the unforgettable "Homeland in My Heart" concert, on the evening of August 17th, over 30,000 spectators attended the special art program "Proud to Be Vietnamese" held in Hanoi. As one of the key national activities celebrating the 80th anniversary of the August Revolution and National Day on September 2nd, "Proud to Be Vietnamese" recreated the golden pages of history, from the time of the Hung Kings who founded the nation, the victories against foreign invaders, to the guiding light of the Party that led the Vietnamese people to write an epic after 80 years of nation-building. Heroic songs and timeless melodies harmonized, creating a "symphony" of origins and aspirations for peace, building a bright future during these historic autumn days.

Perhaps never before have there been so many highly anticipated "national concerts." A series of large-scale programs such as "V Concert - Radiant Vietnam," "Under the Glorious Flag," "Hanoi - From the Historic Autumn of 1945," "Independence Star," "Vietnam in My Heart," etc., organized during the days when the whole country joyfully celebrated the 80th anniversary of the August Revolution and National Day on September 2nd, are becoming a series of large-scale cultural activities eagerly awaited by the public. Without international stars or trendy music, these are simply evenings of socially relevant music featuring familiar songs about the homeland and the country, yet they attract people of very different ages, professions, and backgrounds... all sharing a common heartbeat towards their country. In particular, political and artistic programs receive millions of viewers on social media platforms, thereby spreading patriotism and national pride every moment, deeply ingrained in the consciousness of all strata of the people, across the country, overseas Vietnamese, and international friends, further beautifying and illuminating the image of a peaceful and happy Vietnam.

In addition to cultural and artistic events, the 80th anniversary celebration of the August Revolution and National Day on September 2nd, highlighted by a solemn parade and march held at the historic Ba Dinh Square, is an opportunity for the military and people nationwide to recall the glorious history when the entire nation rose up to drive out the fascists, seize power for the people, and give birth to the Democratic Republic of Vietnam. It also honors the glorious historical journey and the great achievements after 80 years of building and defending the Fatherland. This is a national-scale event, organized to pay tribute to and commemorate the heroic martyrs who sacrificed for national independence, to awaken patriotism among the people, and especially to strongly inspire the younger generation with their responsibility, ideals, and aspirations to contribute to the country.

As one of the selected members of the flight formation, Major Do Van Chien, originally from Thanh Hoa province and currently serving at Regiment 917 (Division 370, Air Defense - Air Force), shared: “I feel very honored and proud to be part of the helicopter formation flying the Party flag and the national flag over Ba Dinh Square during the parade commemorating the 80th anniversary of the August Revolution and National Day on September 2nd. After the A50, this is the second time I have participated in such a major national event, so I have strived to train hard to excellently complete the assigned task.”

Thanh Hoa province is proud to have contributed many glorious victories to the national liberation struggles throughout the country's history. During the August Revolution of 1945, the Thanh Hoa Provincial Party Committee and the Viet Minh led the people in a successful general uprising within a week. It was a swift, bloodless, and low-damage uprising to seize power; a victory of the indomitable will and spirit of the entire nation for national independence. For the past 80 years, generations of cadres, soldiers of the armed forces, and the people of Thanh Hoa have continued to write heroic epics and golden pages of history in the two wars of resistance against French colonialism and American imperialism. And to this day, Thanh Hoa continues to strive to make a worthy contribution to the proud and glorious journey of the nation.

Joining the flow of cultural and artistic activities celebrating the 80th anniversary of the August Revolution and National Day on September 2nd, Thanh Hoa organized many large-scale art and cultural programs, leaving a deep impression on the audience. Among them, the highlight was the art program "Thanh Hoa - Proud with the Nation" held on the evening of September 2nd. The program not only recalled the glorious and heroic history of Thanh Hoa but also spread a powerful message about the self-reliance and aspiration for progress of this land rich in revolutionary traditions.

"The torch of peace" has been passed down by our ancestors, and it is the responsibility of future generations to ensure that this torch always shines brightly. So that the light of happiness that peace brings will illuminate this land. So that the autumns of peace and independence will further strengthen our faith under the glorious banner of the Party, and together we will build a Vietnam that is increasingly prosperous, civilized, cultured, and heroic!"
