Presenting Decision No. 1530-QDNS/TW, dated August 30, 2024, of the Politburo on the transfer and appointment of Comrade Ho Van Mung, Secretary of the Nha Trang City Party Committee, Khanh Hoa province, to participate in the Executive Committee, Standing Committee and hold the position of Deputy Secretary of the An Giang Provincial Party Committee for the 2020-2025 term, Comrade Do Trong Hung, Deputy Head of the Central Organization Department, emphasized that Comrade Ho Van Mung is a young, dynamic, enthusiastic cadre with leadership and management capabilities.

Comrade Ho Van Mung possesses excellent political qualities, has matured and held various positions from the grassroots to the provincial level. Regardless of his position, he has always strived, worked hard, overcome difficulties, and successfully completed his assigned tasks, making positive contributions to the development of the locality, agency, and unit.
Comrade Do Trong Hung expressed his hope that, in his new position, Comrade Ho Van Mung would continue to demonstrate his abilities and leadership skills, quickly integrate into the new role, and grasp the local situation.
Comrade, you need to cherish, inherit, and build upon the traditions and experiences of your predecessors, listen to the opinions of all strata of the people, stay close to the grassroots; wholeheartedly and diligently work with the collective of the An Giang Provincial Party Committee to proactively and creatively lead the successful implementation of goals and tasks.
Comrade Do Trong Hung requested that the Executive Committee of the An Giang Provincial Party Committee continue to maintain unity and cohesion, creating favorable conditions for Comrade Ho Van Mung to successfully complete the assigned tasks.
In his acceptance speech, Comrade Ho Van Mung expressed that being nominated by the Central Organizing Committee and appointed by the Politburo to participate in the Provincial Party Committee and Standing Committee, and to hold the position of Deputy Secretary of the An Giang Provincial Party Committee for the 2020-2025 term; and being elected Chairman of the An Giang Provincial People's Committee by the An Giang Provincial People's Council, is a great honor and source of pride, but also a great responsibility.
He promised that, in his new position, he would continuously learn, improve himself, be open-minded, listen attentively, be dedicated and committed, and demonstrate a high sense of responsibility in fulfilling his assigned duties and responsibilities, while maintaining discipline and order.

On the morning of the same day, the Standing Committee of the An Giang Provincial People's Council decided to convene the 21st (special) session of the 10th Provincial People's Council (2021-2026 term) to elect Comrade Ho Van Mung as Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee.
Comrade Ho Van Mung was born in 1977 in Van Ninh district, Khanh Hoa province; he has advanced political theory qualifications; his professional qualifications include a Master's degree in Economic Management and a Bachelor's degree in Foreign Languages.
He was a Provincial Party Committee member and Secretary of the Khanh Hoa Provincial Youth Union from August 2013 to September 2015. From September 2015 to October 2015, he was a member of the Standing Committee of the Khanh Hoa Provincial Party Committee and Secretary of the Van Ninh District Party Committee. From November 2015 to August 2021, he was a member of the Standing Committee of the Provincial Party Committee and Head of the Propaganda Department of the Khanh Hoa Provincial Party Committee.
At the 13th National Congress of the Party, Comrade Ho Van Mung was elected as an alternate member of the 13th Central Committee of the Party, for the term 2021-2026.
From August 2021 to the present, he has been an alternate member of the Central Committee of the Party, a member of the Standing Committee of the Khanh Hoa Provincial Party Committee, and Secretary of the Nha Trang City Party Committee for the 2020-2025 term.
