- The high school entrance exam for the 2025-2026 school year in the province will take place from June 5th to 7th. This is the largest exam ever held, with 11,088 registered candidates, including 10,889 applying to public high schools. Therefore, ensuring security and order is considered a top priority by all levels and sectors in the province and is being implemented comprehensively and decisively.
Based on Plan No. 509/KH-UBND dated February 28, 2025, of the Provincial People's Committee approving the plan for high school enrollment in the 2025-2026 school year in the province, all levels, sectors, and functional forces have proactively prepared all conditions to ensure the exam takes place safely, seriously, and in accordance with regulations.
Colonel Nguyen Xuan Thu, Deputy Director of the Provincial Police and Deputy Head of the Examination Steering Committee, stated: The Provincial Police have issued a plan and measures to ensure comprehensive security for the examination. Based on the general plan, the professional departments and police in communes, wards, and towns where the examination is held have developed specific plans, clearly assigning tasks to each working group, officer, and soldier, aiming to ensure absolute safety in all stages of question preparation, printing, transportation, invigilation, marking, grading, as well as protecting the security of the examination area, cybersecurity, preventing cheating, and ensuring the safety of candidates and staff, teachers, and personnel performing duties during the examination.
The exam steering committee has requested that all 23 examination centers install additional surveillance cameras and fire safety equipment in 100% of the rooms containing exam papers. Contingency plans for natural disasters such as heavy rain, landslides, and flooding have also been prepared. In particular, at examination centers in Van Lang and Trang Dinh, areas at risk of being cut off, authorities have arranged transportation to ensure candidates arrive at the examination centers on time. Currently, 100% of the commune and ward police where examination centers are located have completed their security plans and submitted them to the Internal Political Security Department for review and unified implementation. |
From mid-May 2025, more than 250 regular police officers and soldiers were mobilized for related tasks. On average, each examination site had about 5 police officers on duty. For large-scale examination sites such as Lang Son city, Cao Loc district, and Huu Lung district (with over 1,000 candidates), the security force was doubled, and multiple layers of security were organized inside and outside the examination area.
At the areas for printing, transporting, and storing exam papers, the mobile police force is on duty 24/7. The Cyber Security and High-Tech Crime Prevention Department monitors cyberspace, promptly detecting and handling distorted and fake information about the exam. Regarding traffic, each exam location has a task force to manage and regulate traffic, avoiding congestion during peak hours. The Fire Prevention and Rescue Police Department coordinates with the schools organizing the exam locations to inspect electrical systems and fire prevention equipment, and collaborates with these units to develop contingency plans to handle fire and explosion incidents early and remotely.
Prior to the exam, key examination sites were surveyed. Based on this, the provincial police requested the Exam Steering Committee to require all 23 examination sites to install additional surveillance cameras and fire safety equipment in 100% of the rooms containing exam papers. Contingency plans for natural disasters such as heavy rain, landslides, and flooding were also prepared. In particular, at examination sites in Van Lang and Trang Dinh, areas at risk of being cut off, authorities have arranged transportation to ensure candidates arrive at the examination sites on time. Currently, 100% of the commune and ward police where examination sites are located have completed their security plans and submitted them to the Internal Political Security Department for review and unified implementation.
Not only the police force, but also all levels and sectors in the province are actively coordinating and implementing many solutions to ensure the safety of the exam.
In Dong Kinh ward, Lang Son city, where there are two major examination centers, Viet Bac High School and Chu Van An Specialized High School (with a total of over 1,200 candidates), the local authorities, in coordination with the police, neighborhood committees, and urban order teams, are ensuring a quiet and safe examination area. Activities such as street vending, setting up tents, and gathering near the examination area are completely prohibited during this time.
In Cao Loc district, where more than 1,000 candidates are taking the exam at Cao Loc High School and Dong Dang High School, the District People's Committee issued Document No. 1525/UBND-GDĐT dated May 21, 2025, on strengthening the conditions for organizing the exam. Mr. Nguyen Van Thinh, Vice Chairman of the District People's Committee, said: The district has directed relevant units to closely coordinate with the police force, health center, electricity company, telecommunications company, etc., to ensure security, stable power supply, and smooth communication. Communes and towns in the district have been assigned the task of coordinating to ensure food safety and hygiene at the exam sites, and to provide accommodation, meals, and transportation for candidates and their families when necessary. Schools have also completed inspections of facilities and prepared contingency plans in case of incidents.
At Chu Van An High School for the Gifted, where more than 700 candidates are taking the exam, Ms. Le Thi Manh Khuong, the school's Vice Principal, said: The school has coordinated with the police force and security guards to be on duty 24/7. The exam papers are stored in sealed metal cabinets, supervised by two police officers and five security guards. Boarding students and staff from the staff housing area are temporarily moved out of the school grounds during the exam period to ensure a quiet environment. Environmental hygiene, especially at the school gate, corridors, and restrooms, is meticulously maintained before and after each exam session.
According to information from the Department of Education and Training, 100% (23/23) of the examination centers throughout the province have completed their plans for organizing the exams in general, and for ensuring security and order in particular, and have submitted them to the Department for monitoring and unified direction.
In just a few days, the high school entrance exam will take place throughout the province. With serious and coordinated preparation from all levels, sectors, and localities, and the involvement of the entire society, the exam is expected to be conducted safely, in accordance with regulations, and successfully.
