- The high school entrance exam for the 2025-2026 school year in the province will take place from June 5 to 7. This is the largest exam ever with 11,088 candidates registered, of which 10,889 are taking the entrance exam to public high schools. Therefore, the work of ensuring security and order is identified by all levels and sectors in the province as a key task and is being implemented synchronously and drastically.
Pursuant to Plan No. 509/KH-UBND dated February 28, 2025 of the Provincial People's Committee on the Decision approving the High School Admission Plan for the 2025-2026 school year in the province, all levels, sectors and functional forces have proactively prepared all conditions for the exam to take place safely, seriously and in accordance with regulations.
Colonel Nguyen Xuan Thu, Deputy Director of the Provincial Police Department, Deputy Head of the Exam Steering Committee, said: The Provincial Police Department has issued a plan and solution to ensure comprehensive security for the exam. Based on the general plan, the professional departments, police of communes, wards and towns where the exam is held have developed specific plans, clearly assigning tasks to each working group, officers and soldiers, in order to ensure absolute safety in the stages of making questions, printing, transporting, invigilation, marking and grading, as well as protecting the security of the exam area, security in cyberspace, preventing cheating, ensuring the safety of candidates and officers, teachers and staff on duty during the exam.
The exam steering committee requested 23/23 exam sites to install additional surveillance cameras and fire protection equipment in 100% of the rooms storing exam papers and papers of the unit. Response plans for natural disasters such as heavy rain, landslides, and flooding have also been prepared. In particular, at exam sites in Van Lang and Trang Dinh, where there is a risk of isolation, the authorities have arranged vehicles to ensure that candidates arrive at the exam sites on time. Currently, 100% of the police in the communes and wards where the exam sites are located have completed the development of protection plans and sent them to the Internal Political Security Department for review and unified implementation. |
Since mid-May 2025, more than 250 regular police officers and soldiers have been mobilized for related tasks. On average, each examination site has about 5 police officers on duty. For large-scale examination sites such as Lang Son city, Cao Loc district, Huu Lung district (over 1,000 candidates), the security force has been doubled, organizing many security rings inside and outside the examination area.
At the areas where exam papers are printed, transported and stored, the mobile police force is on duty 24/7. The Cyber Security and High-Tech Crime Prevention Department monitors cyberspace, promptly detects and handles false and fake information about the exam. Regarding traffic, each exam site has a task force to direct traffic and regulate vehicles to avoid congestion during rush hours. The Fire Prevention and Rescue Police Department (PCCC and CNCH) coordinates with schools to organize exam sites to check electrical systems and fire prevention equipment and coordinates with these units to develop contingency plans to handle fire and explosion incidents early and remotely.
Before the exam, key exam sites were surveyed, on that basis, the provincial police requested the exam steering committee to require 23/23 exam sites to install additional surveillance cameras and fire protection equipment in 100% of the rooms storing exam papers and papers of the unit. Not only the police force, but also all levels and sectors in the province are actively coordinating and implementing many solutions to ensure safety for the exam.
In Dong Kinh Ward, Lang Son City, where there are two major testing sites, Viet Bac High School and Chu Van An High School for the Gifted (with a total of more than 1,200 candidates), local authorities coordinated with the police force, neighborhood watch groups, and urban order groups to ensure a quiet and safe testing area. Activities such as street vendors, tents, and gatherings near the testing area are completely prohibited during this time.
In Cao Loc district, where more than 1,000 candidates took the exam at Cao Loc High School and Dong Dang High School, the district People's Committee issued Document No. 1525/UBND-GDĐT dated May 21, 2025 on strengthening the conditions for organizing the exam. Mr. Nguyen Van Thinh, Vice Chairman of the district People's Committee, said: The district has directed relevant units to closely coordinate with the police force, medical center, electricity, telecommunications... to ensure security, stable power supply, and smooth communication. Communes and towns in the area are assigned to coordinate to ensure food hygiene and safety at exam sites, and at the same time support accommodation, and travel for candidates and their families when necessary. Schools have also completed inspections of facilities and prepared response plans when incidents arise.
At Chu Van An High School for the Gifted, where more than 700 candidates took the exam, Ms. Le Thi Manh Khuong, Vice Principal of the school, said: The school has coordinated with the police force and security team on duty 24/7. The exam papers are kept in sealed iron cabinets, supervised by 2 police officers and 5 security guards. Boarding students and staff of the temporary public housing area are temporarily evacuated from the campus during the exam to ensure a quiet space. Environmental sanitation, especially at the school gate, hallways, and restrooms, is carefully maintained before and after each exam.
According to information from the Department of Education and Training, currently 100% (23/23) of examination sites across the province have completed the general examination organization plan, and the security and order assurance plan in particular, and sent it to the Department for monitoring, synchronous and unified direction.
In just a few days, the high school entrance exam will take place across the province. With serious and synchronous preparation from all levels, sectors, localities and the participation of the whole society, the exam is expected to take place safely, in accordance with regulations and successfully.
