Affirming the position of the city of events and festivals
Speaking at the opening ceremony, Chairman of the City People's Committee Le Trung Chinh said that DIFF 2025 is the longest and largest fireworks season in the history of Da Nang International Fireworks. This year's festival is not only a space for experiencing the pinnacle and emotions of lighting technology, art, music ... but also a symphony to celebrate the 50th anniversary of the liberation of Da Nang city, the 50th anniversary of the liberation of the South, and the reunification of the country. This is an opportunity for the city to affirm its aspiration and determination to rise up, an opportunity for Da Nang to affirm its position as "Asia's leading event and festival city", continuing to attract international friends to a dynamic, creative and friendly Da Nang.

Asian and European culture shines in Da Nang sky
The performance on the opening night of DIFF 2025 between the two fireworks teams of Da Nang (Vietnam 1) and Joho Pyro (Finland) brought special emotions, leaving many impressions in the hearts of locals and tourists. Ms. Nguyen Thanh Phuc, a resident of Da Nang, said that she felt that this year's home team's fireworks were better than every year. Team Vietnam 1 not only performed attractive fireworks but also performed very well using songs that were loved by many audiences. "We felt proud when watching the soft rain of fireworks with vivid lighting effects combined with good music such as "Bonjour Vietnam", "Titanium", "City of Light", "Glory". Our emotions were led into a story told by sound and light about a dynamic and aspirational city", Ms. Phuc said.

Johnny Nathan, a tourist from the US, was impressed by the performance of the Finnish team. The Finnish team knew how to capture the emotions of the host audience when they unexpectedly combined two Vietnamese songs into their performance. The sounds of the fireworks with a Nordic color but harmonized with the melody of Vietnamese music not only made the audience feel the friendliness of the visiting team to Da Nang, but also brought a message to the competition with the spirit of integration and development while still respecting the local cultural identity.
Commenting on the two teams competing on the opening night, musician Nguyen Duc Trinh, Chairman of the Vietnam Musicians Association and member of the DIFF 2025 Jury, said that in terms of music, both teams had very exciting and vibrant performances. Especially the Vietnamese team, this year they were very bold, using rock music but still bringing a Vietnamese sound, very close and familiar. Besides, the Finnish team, the reigning champion of DIFF 2024, still maintained their form, they used Vietnamese songs very well, very suitable for the atmosphere and theme of the opening night.
Meritorious Artist Tran Ngoc Tuan, Chairman of the City Stage Artists Association, member of the city's art council, acknowledged that the performance of the Vietnamese team this year was tight and smooth between musical rhythm, technique, and fireworks effects; meanwhile, the Finnish team was not far behind with excellent handling of melody and fireworks technique, maintaining the good form of the reigning DIFF 2024 champions. The two teams opened the opening night attractively, creating momentum to attract people and tourists for the following competition nights.
| World class art program The opening night of DIFF 2025 brought a world-class art program. The emotional performance "Dat nuoc loi ru" by singer Kieu Anh and divo Tung Duong, the song "Binh minh Da Nang" by singer Thu Hang, a story about a youthful city, full of aspirations to enter a new era. The performance "Fly Me To The Moon" with a traditional Finnish dance in a modern style performed by Mai Trang dance troupe brought the audience into a borderless art space. The bustling Can-can dance, like an invitation to international friends to continue accompanying the next fireworks nights of DIFF 2025 "Da Nang - New Era". For the first time, large-scale outdoor AR technology was introduced to the fireworks festival through the Sun Paradise Land application. The Sky AR project has a coverage of up to 600,000m² and nearly 10 million pixels, becoming the largest outdoor AR system ever deployed at a domestic cultural event. It is possible to propose to put DIFF 2025 into the Guinness Book of Records “No other country has a fireworks festival with up to 10 fireworks teams competing. I believe it is absolutely possible to propose to put DIFF 2025 into the Guinness Book of Records,” said Ms. Nadia Shakira Wong, CEO of Global 2000, the world’s leading fireworks consultancy.
