At the meeting, Vice Chairman Bui Xuan Cuong emphasized that Ho Chi Minh City identifies itself as a pioneering locality in implementing digital transformation, especially in the field of education .

Therefore, the city hopes that Google for Education will continue to participate in the digital transformation of the education sector to implement support programs for students and teachers, such as training teachers to apply AI in teaching and school management; mobile digital classroom solutions; deploying AI virtual assistant solutions for students with disabilities to support them in their daily learning and activities…

Mr. Tim Paolini said he was impressed with Ho Chi Minh City's implementation of digital transformation, as well as the strong efforts of the Ho Chi Minh City Department of Education and Training in the digital transformation of the education sector.

The meeting aimed to review a year of collaboration following Google for Education's official submission of a commitment letter to support Ho Chi Minh City's digital transformation in education, and to propose a future collaboration strategy for Google for Education.

Accordingly, this unit proposed that over the next five years, it will focus on four key areas of cooperation with the Ho Chi Minh City education and training sector: enhancing teacher capacity; promoting digital transformation with artificial intelligence (AI); implementing a comprehensive data management system; and connecting with international resources.

To date, AI Education (a fully authorized Google for Education partner in Vietnam) and the Ho Chi Minh City Department of Education and Training have collaborated on numerous digital transformation activities in education, such as enhancing digital skills for teachers and students; providing infrastructure and equipment from Google to the Department of Education and Training and schools, etc.
