AS Roma lost the Europa League title, coach Mourinho criticized the referee
Coach Mourinho expressed his dissatisfaction with the referee team controlling the Europa League final between Sevilla and AS Roma.
AS Roma has just experienced a dramatic Europa League final against Sevilla. After 90 minutes of official play and both extra time ended with a 1-1 draw, coach Jose Mourinho's army suffered a painful 1-4 defeat against the opponent in the fateful penalty shootout.
This is the first defeat in the European Cup final of the Portuguese strategist, after 5 previous victories.
After the match, coach Mourinho said that the referee Anthony Taylor had made decisions that put AS Roma at a disadvantage: "The match was tense, with a referee who appeared to be Spaniards. He drew a lot of yellow cards. The injustice was shown in the fact that Erik Lamela should have received a second yellow card, but he did not, and the player successfully scored a penalty."

Besides, the 60-year-old strategist also hinted at the possibility of leaving AS Roma: "My future? I will talk to the team leadership after the holidays. I told the club owners that I would let them know if I made a trade with another club. No team has contacted me yet.”
“I want to stay at AS Roma, but I think my players and I deserve more than what we have. I'm really tired of doing too many things, not just being a coach. I want to stay, but only under the right conditions," Mourinho said.
