The Chứt ethnic people in Bản Giàng 2 village, Hương Vĩnh commune, held a cultural exchange to celebrate Tet (Lunar New Year).
On the morning of December 16th (the 4th day of the 11th lunar month), the Chứt ethnic people in Bản Giàng 2 village, Hương Vĩnh commune, organized a program to celebrate the Cha Leng festival. |
On an even-numbered day of the 11th lunar month each year (chosen by the villagers), after the harvest is complete, the Chứt people celebrate Cha Leng Tet, a festival to express gratitude to heaven and earth for favorable weather, a bountiful harvest, and to welcome the new planting season.

The village of Giàng 2 currently has 15 households and 55 inhabitants. This year, the Chứt ethnic people are celebrating the Cha Leng festival in favorable weather conditions. Besides the traditional forest worship rituals, cultural exchanges, and reminiscing about cultural traditions, the people also received many meaningful New Year gifts.

It also aims to raise awareness and responsibility among all generations, especially the younger generation, in preserving and promoting the unique cultural values of the Chứt ethnic group.
