The Chứt ethnic people joyfully celebrate the Chăm Cha Bới New Year.

(Baohatinh.vn) - The Cham Cha Boi Tet festival was celebrated solemnly and warmly, demonstrating the concern of the Party committee, government, and border guard forces for the lives of the Chut ethnic minority people in Ha Tinh.

On the morning of December 31st, the People's Committee of Phuc Trach commune, in coordination with the Border Guard Task Force of Rao Tre village (Giang village Border Guard Post), organized the Cham Cha Boi Tet festival for the Chut ethnic minority people in Rao Tre village.

The Cham Cha Boi Tet festival is deeply rooted in the cultural identity of the Chut ethnic group, reflecting their beliefs and aspirations for a new year of favorable weather, abundant harvests, and a peaceful, prosperous, and happy life. Organizing this festival not only contributes to the preservation and promotion of the traditional cultural values ​​of ethnic minorities, but also demonstrates the concern of Party committees, government authorities, and the armed forces for the material and spiritual well-being of ethnic minorities.

On this occasion, the Organizing Committee presented 46 gift packages, each worth 1 million VND, containing essential necessities such as banh chung (traditional Vietnamese rice cake), pork, fish, sticky rice, cooking oil, and fish sauce, helping people celebrate Tet (Vietnamese New Year) in a warm and joyful atmosphere.

At the same time, nine gifts from the Central Government were presented to social welfare beneficiaries to celebrate the 14th National Party Congress and the Lunar New Year of the Horse 2026.

Through this meaningful activity, the great national unity is further strengthened, the close relationship between the Party, the government, the Border Guard forces and the people is becoming increasingly solid, contributing to maintaining political stability, social order and security, and building a stronger border region.

The Cham Cha Boi Tet festival of the Chut ethnic group takes place on the 12th day of the 11th lunar month every year. According to the Chut people, this is the New Rice Festival, usually held after the harvest is complete. It is an occasion for the villagers to prepare offerings to thank heaven and earth for granting them a bountiful harvest, a peaceful life, and good health.
