The Quang Thien Bridge, spanning Canal 4 in Chong My B hamlet, is 31 meters long and 2 meters wide, with a total investment of nearly 120 million VND. The Provincial Buddhist Social Charity Committee, in collaboration with Ms. Viet Ly, mobilized Mr. Pham Quang Thien to donate 94 million VND, with the remaining amount contributed by the local community. The bridge's inauguration has facilitated convenient travel for the people, ensured the safety of students getting to school, especially during the rainy season, and contributed to the increasingly vibrant appearance of the rural area.
The Quang Thien Bridge, spanning Canal 4 in Chong My B hamlet, was inaugurated to the joy of the local people.
Mr. Nguyen Minh Ty, from Chong My B hamlet, said: “Currently, some bridges in the area that were built previously have deteriorated and are damaged. I see that every day, students along this canal have a very difficult time going to school, even during low tide. Now that we have this new bridge, the people are very happy, as it helps people cross easily and makes it convenient for the children to go to school.”
In Truyen Huan hamlet, the local authorities and sponsors also inaugurated the Hong Thanh 3 bridge spanning the Truyen Huan canal. The bridge, constructed of reinforced concrete, is 23 meters long and 2 meters wide, with a total construction cost of over 90 million VND. Of this amount, the Provincial Buddhist Social Charity Committee, in collaboration with Ms. Viet Ly, secured a donation of 45 million VND from Mr. Phuong Nguyen (USA), while the remaining amount was contributed by the local authorities and the people.

Mr. Nguyen Minh Dam, Secretary of the Party Branch of Truyen Huan hamlet, happily said: “The old bridge was dilapidated and damaged, so the hamlet proposed to the Commune People's Committee to invest in building a new bridge. Today, the bridge is inaugurated, and the people in the hamlet are very happy. With the new bridge, people can travel more conveniently, goods can be transported more easily, and students can go to school more safely.”
Ms. Nguyen Thi Anh Tuyet, Deputy Head of the Provincial Buddhist Charity and Social Welfare Committee, said: "Among the more than 700 rural traffic bridges that the Committee has mobilized and supported in the province, more than 150 were sponsored through Ms. Viet Ly's connections. This demonstrates the deep affection of the sponsors for their homeland of Ca Mau in general and Ham Rong commune, Nam Can district in particular, with the desire to share the difficulties and hardships of the people in areas that still lack sturdy bridges connecting the two banks."
Mr. Le Ngoc Giau, Vice Chairman of the People's Committee of Ham Rong commune, said: "In recent times, the locality has received attention from sponsors and benefactors implementing social welfare programs, including the Provincial Buddhist Social Charity Committee, which has connected and helped the locality to have solid and spacious rural traffic bridges, thereby meeting the needs of people and students to travel to school easily and safely, while contributing to promoting the socio -economic development of the locality, creating an increasingly prosperous rural appearance."
