Bac Ninh decides to terminate the Kinh Bac University project.

The People's Committee of Bac Ninh province has just issued an official document regarding the termination of the Kinh Bac University project in Phu Chan ward, Tu Son city (now Tu Son ward).

The document was sent to the Department of Finance, the Department of Agriculture and Environment, the Tax Department of Bac Ninh province, and Chan Thien My Co., Ltd., the project's investor.

According to the document, based on the proposal of the Department of Finance in the document dated December 7, 2025, and the report of the People's Committee of Bac Ninh province regarding the consideration of terminating the investment project to build Kinh Bac University in Tu Son ward, the People's Committee of the province has acted in accordance with the inspection conclusions of the Provincial Inspectorate.

The Chairman of the People's Committee of Bac Ninh province has agreed with the proposal of the Department of Finance to terminate the operation of this project. At the same time, he instructed the Department of Finance to carry out the necessary procedures to officially terminate the Kinh Bac University project in Tu Son ward, in accordance with point d, clause 2, Article 48 of the 2020 Investment Law.

In addition, the Department of Agriculture and Environment is assigned to lead and coordinate with the Department of Finance, the Provincial Tax Department, and other relevant agencies to advise on and implement measures to handle matters related to land, assets attached to the land, and financial obligations of the project in accordance with the law.

The Kinh Bac University construction project was previously allocated nearly 28 hectares (280,949 m2) of land by Bac Ninh province according to Decision No. 1580 dated December 8, 2011, and the land use rights were subsequently extended according to Decision No. 209 dated July 15, 2021.

However, since the beginning of 2024, this project has been identified by the Bac Ninh Provincial Department of Natural Resources and Environment as one of 58 projects in the province that are behind schedule and have not put the land into use on time.
