Issue educational programs that meet learners' needs

The Ministry of Education and Training has just issued Circular No. 18/2024/TT-BGDDT regulating the Education Program to meet the requirements of learners; update knowledge, skills, and transfer technology.

According to the Circular, the Education Program meets the needs of learners; updates knowledge, skills, and transfers technology (collectively referred to as the Education Program meets the needs of learners) to create learning opportunities for learners who need to update and supplement knowledge and skills necessary for life, production and reception of new technology, economic development to generate income, improve the quality of life of themselves and their families; meet the requirements of improving people's knowledge, training local human resources, the need for regular learning and lifelong learning of everyone; contribute to building a learning society and developing a sustainable community.

The Education Program meets the requirements of learners, contributing to the continued development of necessary qualities and capacities for learners in life relationships, self-study ability and lifelong learning awareness, career orientation suitable to the capacity, conditions, and circumstances of the individual, family and society.

The Education Program to meet the requirements of learners issued under this Circular is used for continuing education institutions and other educational institutions to meet the requirements of continuing education and lifelong learning of people in the community, contributing to improving people's knowledge and building a learning society.

Specific Education Program in 8 Fields

The Education Program meets the needs of learners including specific Education Programs in the following areas:

1. Legal Education Program.

2. Cultural and social education program.

3. Environmental Education Program.

4. Health Protection Education Program.

5. Economic Development Education Program.

6. Life skills education and psychological counseling program.

7. Career and Entrepreneurship Education Program.

8. Digital Transformation Education Program in the community.

The specific Education Program in each field ensures to provide learners with basic, practical and useful knowledge content to help learners apply the knowledge and skills they have learned to solve life problems, contributing to self-development and improving the quality of life.

Forms of teaching organization The Education Program meets the requirements of learners and is organized in an open and flexible manner with many different forms. Based on the content of the topics and learners, teachers and reporters can choose and organize in the following forms: concentrated learning, field learning, learning through science and technology transfer training sessions, direct talks, integration through club activities, group activities, field trips, organizing competitions, learning through radio and television; can provide learning materials such as leaflets and brochures for learners to self-study, self-read, self-research books, newspapers, documents to improve their knowledge.

Assessment of learners' learning outcomes is carried out according to each specific educational program. Learning outcomes of each specific educational program according to educational fields are assessed in the form of Passed and Not Passed.

Learners who complete a specific educational program and pass the required tests will be granted a Certificate of Completion of the Educational Program.

This Circular takes effect from January 14, 2025.
