(QBĐT) - June has just arrived, bringing with it the golden hues of summer. The entire landscape is draped in a dazzling cloak of sunlight. June gently touches the exam season, the hesitant gazes, and the unspoken secrets. Anxiety, hope, and dreams for the future intertwine, creating a surge of excitement and anticipation in the hearts of students. And then, as it departs, June opens up countless crossroads—small doorways, wide, winding alleyways, or even highways to the future. Let us remember and dream of June forever!

Within that twelve-month cycle, June leaves its mark with vibrant colors, rich aromas, and indelible memories of childhood. We dream of June with its dazzling golden hues of long, expansive sunshine. No longer the dreamy, gentle sunshine of early March, June's sun is the full, ripe, scorching heat of the season, enough to make the fruits in our gardens ripen with dreamy colors and produce fragrant, honeyed fruit! That color of sunshine is a symbol of summer, so that whenever June is mentioned, the mind is immediately associated with that unforgettable sunbeam.
June shines with the endless green of countless trees and leaves. Trees, having endured the cold winter, gently stir, sprouting spring buds, and now, as summer arrives, they stretch out in vibrant green. The life force accumulated over time is now concentrated in the foliage, and against this backdrop of lush green are the passionate reds of flamboyant trees, the lingering purples of crape myrtle, and the brilliant yellows of cassia flowers. These trees seem to have squeezed out every last drop of life force to dedicate to summer these vivid, radiant blossoms. June is beautiful, and the entire season is beautiful thanks to these flowers.
June also allows us to indulge in gazing at the vast, cloudless blue sky and the boundless sea without a single raging wave. Standing before the immense ocean and beneath that wondrous expanse of space, one sometimes feels small, as if they can see through the entire universe from a perspective on the ground. These whimsical thoughts and childlike dreams may have been shaped by such Junetime gazes upon the sea and sky!
June brings with it afternoons that call for early thunderstorms. The sun is shining brightly, the wind is singing softly, when suddenly clouds gather. Dark clouds, heavy with water, line up to block the sun. The entire sky darkens in an instant. Then, after a long period of thunder and lightning, the rain pours down, washing away all the dust and dirt, refreshing the trees and leaves, and restoring the coolness to the earth and sky after a long day of intense sunshine.
In June, the rice fields rest, awaiting the new planting season. The village fields resound with the laughter and playful squabbles of children. Free from schoolwork and extra tutoring, the village children rush out to the fields like calves released from confinement. While the buffaloes graze peacefully, the children play tag, mock battles, fly kites, catch fish, and roll around in piles of straw. As the sun sets, the smoke from the cooking fires rises from the poor village, yet the laughter still lingers. Each child is disheveled and dirty, the smell of the fields, straw, and damp hair mingling with the scent of sweat. So many rural games, so many childhood memories are etched in this very field.
June brings with it the promise of exam season. While villagers take a break between harvests and children enjoy a relaxing summer vacation, students are still diligently studying, trying to figure out their future amidst countless uncertain paths. I've also experienced many June exam seasons. There have been long nights spent studying by lamplight, and early mornings spent reviewing study guides. There have been hopes, dreams, and aspirations. There has also been confusion and uncertainty in choosing different paths.
My future once lay within those long June days, in the pressure of thoughts that left my mind numb, yet I never thought of giving up, never quitting. Because I understood clearly that my mother's face was tanned dark by the sun, my father's shirt was stained white with sweat, day after day working in the fields under the sun and rain, all so that my siblings and I could suffer less. Just the thought of my future not being stained with mud and straw would bring them immense joy. They never expressed any expectations to me, never put even the slightest pressure on me. But everything they did was an expectation. These unspoken expectations only intensified my anguish, making me tell myself I had to try harder.
June arrives and departs silently, leaving behind unforgettable emotions. These could be sweet memories of carefree summers, or the ups and downs of life, the hesitant choices, and the uncertainty of countless crossroads. And later, after traversing countless long and wide paths, immersed in the cycle of time, our hearts still yearn for June.
