The press has been and continues to be an important bridge between the People's Police and the general public.

To commemorate the 80th anniversary of the Traditional Day of the Vietnam People's Public Security Force (August 19, 1945 - August 19, 2025), the 20th anniversary of the National Day for Protecting National Security (August 19, 2005 - August 19, 2025), and the 100th anniversary of the Vietnamese Revolutionary Press Day (June 21, 1925 - June 21, 2025), the Ministry of Public Security , in coordination with the Vietnam Journalists Association and the Ministry of Information and Communications, is organizing a journalism award with the theme "For National Security and Peaceful Life" for the period 2023 - 2025.

The competition was organized to affirm the role and importance of journalism in connecting the People's Police with the general public. The goal was to improve the dissemination of information about the activities of the People's Police force, emphasizing the role and important contributions of the force in crime prevention, national security protection, and maintaining social order and safety.

The submitted works should clearly showcase the traditions of the People's Public Security Force, including beautiful images of the dedication and fighting spirit of generations of officers and soldiers throughout the revolutionary periods. The content should also reflect the results of implementing the Party and State's policies and guidelines on ensuring security and order and building the People's Public Security Force. At the same time, it should acknowledge the achievements, difficulties, and challenges faced by the People's Public Security Force in protecting national security and maintaining social order.

The prize structure includes: 1 grand prize worth 80 million VND; 5 first prizes, each worth 50 million VND; 10 second prizes, each worth 30 million VND; 15 third prizes, each worth 20 million VND; 25 consolation prizes, each worth 10 million VND, and several other prizes.

To improve the quality and encourage participation in the Journalism Award, the Public Security Communication Department requests that news agencies and media outlets continue to promote and disseminate information about the Award's regulations through various media channels. The goal is to widely disseminate information about the Award, encouraging and motivating journalists, reporters, collaborators, officials, Party members, and citizens nationwide to participate with journalistic works on the theme "For national security and peaceful life."

The works must be published or broadcast on the media platforms (print, online, radio, television) as stipulated in the Award Regulations.
