On June 4th, the Yen The District Police ( Bac Giang province ) announced that they had inspected, discovered, and arrested Nguyen Van Hieu (born in 1983, residing at Group 6, Trung Vuong Ward, Thai Nguyen City, Thai Nguyen Province) for investigation into the transportation of a very large quantity of weapons, including lead bullets, sporting ammunition, gun components, detonators, and explosives.

The suspect is Nguyen Van Hieu.
Previously, on May 25th, in Hoa Binh residential area (Bo Ha town, Yen The district), a task force from the Yen The District Police, in coordination with several professional units, inspected and discovered that Hieu was illegally transporting the aforementioned goods.
At the time of inspection, the task force seized 37 cardboard boxes containing metal mushroom-shaped objects (suspected to be lead bullets), with a total weight of 497 kg; 1 cardboard box containing bullet-shaped objects (suspected to be ammunition used for sporting firearms) weighing 9.5 kg; and 1 car with license plate 20A-519.75.
During questioning, Nguyen Van Hieu confessed that, prior to the police inspection, he had just sold three cardboard boxes containing lead bullets to someone in Bo Ha town, Yen The district.
During questioning, the buyer of lead pellets from Hieu admitted to the police that he had purchased three boxes of lead pellets from Nguyen Van Hieu and had also manufactured lead pellets himself for profit. He voluntarily surrendered to the police three cardboard boxes containing mushroom-shaped metal objects (suspected to be lead pellets) purchased from Nguyen Van Hieu, totaling 32.5 kg; 4 kg of lead pellets he had manufactured himself; and a manual cutting and pressing machine used for producing lead pellets.

The evidence was seized at the police station.
In addition to the seized lead and sporting ammunition, Nguyen Van Hieu confessed to also possessing explosives (detonators used in the production of hunting rifle ammunition) and explosives along with lead bullets and components used to manufacture air guns at his house in Group 9, Tuc Duong Ward (Thai Nguyen City) and at a relative's house in residential area 7B, Tuc Duyen Ward (Thai Nguyen City).
On May 25th, the Criminal Investigation Agency (Yen The District Police) issued an urgent search warrant for Nguyen Van Hieu's residence and seized 72 plastic bags containing a total of 7,200 detonators; 550 grams of powder suspected to be explosives; 524 kg of lead bullets; 18 kg of sporting ammunition; numerous items suspected to be gun components, totaling 37 kg; one electric air compressor; six air pumps…

At the Investigation Police Department of Yen The District, Nguyen Van Hieu confessed that he bought all the lead bullets from a man on Facebook to resell for profit.
The police are continuing to investigate and clarify the case and will handle it according to the law.
