(Dan Tri Newspaper) - Effective January 20th, Colonel Nguyen Quoc Toan, Director of the Bac Giang Provincial Police, has been transferred to the position of Chief of the Office of the Ministry of Public Security.
On the afternoon of January 20th, the Ministry of Public Security held a ceremony to announce the decision of the Minister of Public Security regarding personnel matters within the Ministry of Public Security's Office.
At the ceremony, the head of the Personnel Department announced the decision of the Minister of Public Security to transfer Colonel Nguyen Quoc Toan (47 years old), Director of the Bac Giang Provincial Police, to take up the position of Chief of the Office of the Ministry of Public Security from January 20th.
Speaking at the ceremony, Lieutenant General and Deputy Minister Tran Quoc To affirmed that Colonel Nguyen Quoc Toan was evaluated by the Standing Committee of the Central Party Committee of Public Security, the leadership of the Ministry of Public Security, and the Standing Committee of the Bac Giang Provincial Party Committee as an officer with firm political resolve, good moral character, basic training, who rose through the ranks from the grassroots, has work experience, and possesses leadership, direction, management, and operational capabilities.
According to the Senior General, the assignment of Colonel Nguyen Quoc Toan to take up the position of Chief of the Office of the Ministry of Public Security reflects the trust of the Central Public Security Party Committee and the leadership of the Ministry of Public Security in Colonel Toan personally, and is also a joy, an honor, and a heavy responsibility for the new Chief of the Office of the Ministry of Public Security.

In his acceptance speech, Colonel Nguyen Quoc Toan expressed his gratitude to the Provincial Party Committee, the Provincial People's Council, the Provincial People's Committee, the Provincial Fatherland Front, and all provincial departments for their attention, guidance, and cooperation during his time as Director of the Provincial Police.
Colonel Toan also thanked the officers, soldiers, and comrades who have always been there to support and assist him throughout the mission.
The new Chief of the Ministry's Office hopes to continue receiving the attention, leadership, and guidance of the Ministry's leaders; the unity, coordination, and assistance of the leaders, officers, and soldiers of the Ministry's Office; and the support and cooperation of agencies and units to help the Ministry's Office perform its duties well, especially in advising the Ministry's leadership on leading, commanding, directing, and managing the People's Public Security force to fulfill the requirements and tasks in the current situation.
Colonel Nguyen Quoc Toan is from Hai Phong City. In October 2019, Colonel Toan was appointed Director of the Bac Giang Provincial Police. At that time, he was the youngest provincial police director in the country.
