On January 25.1, Hue City Police said that they had successfully solved the case and arrested 4 suspects responsible for a series of motorbike thefts in the area. The suspects detained include: Nguyen Vu Trung (22 years old), Nguyen Thanh (20 years old), Le Tung Duong (18 years old) and Phan Van Hoang Long (17 years old, both residing in Quang Tri).
This group also includes Bui Minh Hung (30 years old, residing in Cam Lo District, Quang Tri), who has now fled his residence.
Previously, in Hue City, there were consecutive thefts of new Honda Wave motorbikes. The thefts all share the same crime characteristics, targeting people's unlocked cars on sidewalks, deserted places, and this group even breaks into people's houses to steal cars.
After receiving the reported information, Hue City Police established a special case to investigate and clarify. On January 12.1, the task force collected all evidence and coordinated with police and functional units of Quang Tri province to arrest the above four suspects.
Initially, this group confessed that they removed the tire, wired the car to start the engine, and then escaped. This group committed 10 motorbike thefts in Hue City, then drove straight to Dong Ha City (Quang Tri) to sell. Hue City Police said that the results of asset valuation of 10 Honda Wave motorbikes stolen by this group were equivalent to an amount of 108,5 million VND.
