The owner of the bamboo factory in Hoi An is Mr. Vo Tan Tan - Taboo bamboo factory. Every day, this small bamboo workshop, like a bamboo house, always has lights on and the sound of chisels from morning to night.

“Looking at bamboo items, I thought that people used soft materials to mold them, not bend or graft them from a sturdy tree like bamboo.

Mr. Vo Tan Tan is well known throughout the country for his story of making bamboo items.
When he studied at university and graduated, Mr. Tan did not go to work in the city but returned to build a bamboo handicraft workshop, welcoming the wave of tourism from around the world to Hoi An.

According to Mr. Tan, bamboo is a tree species associated with the lives of Vietnamese people. This plant is everywhere, entering the subconscious, folk songs, proverbs, songs...
But bamboo has not had much economic value since ancient times, but is only a raw material for daily life activities in the countryside.
