Manchester United need to beat Bayern Munich on December 13th to secure qualification for the next round of the UEFA Champions League. However, the "Bavarian giants" currently hold the record for 39 unbeaten matches in the group stage of Europe's top competition.

Bayern Munich's winning streak in the Champions League group stage came to an end after 18 matches following a 0-0 draw against Copenhagen on November 24th. However, the Bavarian giants remain unbeaten in their 39 group stage matches in the tournament.
Since Bayern Munich have already secured top spot in Group A of the UEFA Champions League, Man Utd hope the German side will not field their strongest team on December 13th.
However, according to the registration list for this year's Champions League, Bayern Munich doesn't have too many players.
In the match against Copenhagen, Bayern Munich only had 7 substitutes (including two goalkeepers, Sven Ulreich and Daniel Peretz). With a limited squad depth, coach Thomas Tuchel will likely have to use stars like Thomas Mueller, Leroy Sane, or Leon Goretzka.
Furthermore, after leaving Tottenham to join Bayern Munich last summer, Harry Kane hasn't had the chance to face an English team and he's undoubtedly eager to play at Old Trafford next week.
Coach Thomas Tuchel was unhappy that Bayern Munich were held to a draw by Copenhagen, ending their winning streak in Group A of this year's UEFA Champions League. Therefore, the "Bavarian giants" still need a positive result in their final group stage match against Man Utd.
Manchester United's situation in this year's Champions League is very difficult; they have only managed 4 points from 5 matches and are at the bottom of Group A. Erik Ten Hag's team will only advance if they beat Bayern Munich at Old Trafford (3 AM on December 13th) and the Galatasaray - Copenhagen match ends in a draw.
