The 2025 An Giang Provincial Traditional Music and Singing Competition attracted 24 participating teams from communes and wards throughout the province. Each participating team prepared a traditional music and singing program consisting of 3 pieces belonging to the 20 traditional melodies (no repetition of melodies) and a Vọng Cổ piece in 8 or 16-beat rhythm. Each singer registered to perform only one solo piece and could participate in other categories…
After three days of lively performances, each entry was a subtle blend of improvisation and formality, creating a simple yet profound atmosphere of interaction, celebrating creativity and emotion, and showcasing the free-spirited community culture of Southern Vietnam through heartfelt music and lyrics.
As a result, the organizing committee awarded prizes A, B, and C for the categories of choral singing, instrumental ensemble, Vọng Cổ (traditional Vietnamese folk singing), and Ca Ra Bộ (singing with gestures). Additionally, 14 prizes B and 14 prizes A were awarded to units that achieved outstanding results.
The organizing committee awarded the "Promising Young Talent" prize to contestant Nguyen Thi Ha Linh; and the prize for the most effective program on the theme "Building New Rural Areas" to Tan Hoi commune.

Mr. Nguyen Van Mao, Deputy Director of the Department of Culture and Sports of An Giang province, presented the A prize to the outstanding units in the program.
With a spirit of solidarity, exchange, and creativity, the 2025 An Giang Provincial Traditional Music and Singing Competition will not only be rich in artistic value and deeply rooted in the Southern Vietnamese traditional music and singing tradition, but will also powerfully convey the message about building new rural areas - a major movement with significant importance for the sustainable development of An Giang province.
The competition also serves as a bridge connecting different units, honoring the beauty of traditional culture, and arousing pride and love for the homeland in every citizen.
