A newborn baby was abandoned in the middle of the night.

In the dead of night, the cries of a newborn baby echoed outside a house in a small alley in Tan Dong Hiep ward, Ho Chi Minh City, leaving many feeling heartbroken.

According to the Tan Dong Hiep Ward Police, at approximately 0:20 AM on June 12th, Ms. Hoang Thi Thuan (born in 1984) was at home in an alley off Cay Da Street, Tan Phu 1 neighborhood, when she heard a child crying outside her door.

Upon opening the door to check, Ms. Thuan discovered a newborn baby wrapped in a blue and white towel, placed inside a cardboard box.

Along with the baby was a handwritten note, believed to be from a relative. In the letter, the writer expressed: "The circumstances are so dire that I cannot raise the child. I respectfully request that whoever finds the baby take care of and raise her in my place."

This person also stated that the baby was born on June 6, 2026.
