General Hospital No. 10 makes a breakthrough in diagnosis and treatment.

Inaugurated and put into operation in October 2012, General Hospital No. 10 (Chau Thanh A District, Hau Giang Province) is now considered one of the leading medical facilities in investing in modern machinery and equipment, creating a breakthrough in high-tech development.

Most recently, in January 2025, the hospital put into operation a 3.0 Tesla MRI system - uMR 780. This is a comprehensive MRI system, integrated with artificial intelligence (AI), allowing for rapid and in-depth diagnosis of stroke, vascular, oncological, and neurological diseases. Notably, this system does not use X-rays, making it safe for patients requiring multiple scans.

Besides a strong workforce and systematic investment in machinery and equipment, after more than 12 years of establishment, General Hospital No. 10 has also achieved significant accomplishments in all five specialties: Internal Medicine, Surgery, Obstetrics, Traditional Medicine, Ophthalmology - Otolaryngology, and Dentistry - Maxillofacial Surgery.

People's Physician, Specialist Doctor Phan Thanh Tung, Director of the hospital, said that in addition to the 3.0 Tesla - uMR 780 MRI and the modern RO hemodialysis system with thermal sterilization, General Hospital No. 10 also has many cutting-edge techniques such as: total hip replacement surgery; retrograde endoscopic laser lithotripsy; C-Arm X-ray; 4D color ultrasound; Harmonic vascular ablation machine; endoscopic ENT surgery using Plasma; painless gastrointestinal endoscopy... The hospital is also capable of performing 4,000 approved technical procedures by the Ministry of Health , including many new and specialized techniques.

With a capacity of 100 inpatient beds, the hospital currently receives approximately 800 outpatient visits daily, peaking at 1,200. To meet the healthcare needs of the people, the hospital is continuing to invest in facilities, constructing a 10-story building according to regional general hospital standards, expected to be completed by the end of 2025.
