Bibica pays a cash dividend of 15%.

Bibica announced it will allocate over 28 billion VND to distribute dividends for 2023 at a rate of 15%, meaning each share will receive 1,500 VND.

Bibica Joint Stock Company (stock code: BBC) has just approved a plan to pay a cash dividend for 2023 at a rate of 15%. Shareholders will receive 1,500 VND per share. The company announced that the payment will begin on October 10th.

With over 18.7 million shares listed, Bibica is estimated to allocate 28.1 billion VND for this dividend payment. PAN Group, the sole major shareholder holding over 18.4 million BBC shares (corresponding to 98.3% of the charter capital), will receive 27.6 billion VND.

On the stock exchange, BBC shares are currently trading at 50,200 VND. Compared to the highest price recorded this year on March 14th (54,900 VND), the stock has fallen by 8.5%. Bibica's market capitalization is currently over 941 billion VND.

Regarding business performance, the company achieved net revenue of approximately VND 260 billion in Q2/2024, an increase of 23.7% compared to the same period last year. Gross profit was approximately VND 73.6 billion, an increase of 72.4% compared to the same period last year. The profit margin was over 28.3%, an increase of 8 percentage points compared to the same period.

After deducting expenses, the company reported a pre-tax profit of VND 11.1 billion and an after- tax profit of VND 8.6 billion, representing increases of 8.5 times and 64 times respectively compared to the same period in 2023.

According to the management's explanation, the increase in revenue, along with the recovery of the company's business operations, is the main reason for the many times higher profits compared to the same period last year.

For the first half of the year, Bibica achieved net revenue of VND 619 billion, an increase of 38.5% compared to the same period last year. Gross profit exceeded VND 183 billion, an increase of 66.4% compared to the same period. The gross profit margin reached 29.5%.

The company reported pre-tax profit of nearly VND 28.6 billion and after- tax profit of VND 26 billion, respectively seven times and nine times higher than the first half of 2023.

This year, Bibica plans for net revenue and pre-tax profit of VND 1,750 billion and VND 110.4 billion respectively, representing increases of VND 262 billion and VND 4 billion compared to last year's performance. After half a year, the company has achieved 35.4% of its revenue target and 25.9% of its profit target.

At its annual general meeting in April, Bibica announced its commitment to achieving an average long-term growth rate of over 15% per year. The company is also focusing its research and development of new products, marketing, and sales efforts on its six main brands: Hura, Goody, Gooka, Zoo, Migita, and Sumika. Furthermore, the company plans to distribute cash dividends this year ranging from 10-20% of its charter capital.

As of the end of June, the company had total assets of VND 1,980 billion, a decrease of VND 348 billion compared to the beginning of the period. Liabilities amounted to over VND 551 billion, the majority of which were short-term liabilities of over VND 537 billion. Equity increased slightly to VND 1,429 billion, and undistributed after-tax profit was over VND 257 billion.
