BIDV is implementing this meaningful program nationwide in all provinces and cities, in commemoration of its 70th anniversary. BIDV branches, in coordination with local authorities, are organizing the distribution of aid to poor households and families in difficult circumstances. This year, BIDV is paying special attention to localities severely affected by natural disasters. The program is prioritized in many provinces such as Lang Son, Lao Cai, Tuyen Quang, Gia Lai, Dak Lak , Binh Dinh, and Phu Yen, where people are striving to overcome difficulties, restore production, and stabilize their lives after storms, floods, severe cold, drought, and other extreme weather events.
Each Tet gift package is worth an average of 500,000 VND, including essential necessities for Tet celebrations such as banh chung (traditional rice cakes), sticky rice, Tet jam, cooking oil, meat, etc. This is a concrete and practical act of sharing, contributing to providing poor families with a warmer and more fulfilling Tet holiday.

Sharing about the program, Mr. Tran Phuong - Deputy General Director and Chairman of the BIDV Trade Union - shared: "Continuing the tradition of compassion that has become a beautiful cultural trait, the Spring of the Year of the Horse 2026 marks the 17th consecutive year that the staff and employees of the Vietnam Investment and Development Bank (BIDV) have joined hands to contribute and send nearly 70,000 meaningful Tet gifts worth 40 billion VND to poor people across the country. BIDV branches nationwide, in coordination with local authorities, organized the distribution to poor households and families in difficult circumstances, especially those in areas affected by natural disasters, storms, severe cold, drought, saltwater intrusion, flash floods, etc."
BIDV's "Tet Gifts for the Poor" program is not just an annual social welfare activity, but has become a deeply meaningful journey of compassion, a significant highlight in BIDV's community service. Since 2009, BIDV has distributed an average of 40,000 Tet gifts annually to poor households and families in difficult circumstances across the country. Each gift is a warm Tet greeting sent to the poor, demonstrating BIDV's unwavering commitment to supporting the community and contributing to a better life. Beyond material gifts, the program also serves as a bridge to spread the spirit of mutual support and strengthen the bond between BIDV and the community. Through this, the image of a bank dedicated to the sustainable development of society is increasingly affirmed and widely disseminated.
