Binh Lieu is thriving thanks to the implementation of Resolution 06.

Implementing Resolution 06-NQ/TU (dated May 17, 2021) of the Provincial Party Committee on sustainable socio-economic development associated with ensuring strong national defense and security in communes, villages, and hamlets in ethnic minority, mountainous, border, and island areas for the period 2021-2025, with orientation to 2030, Binh Lieu district has achieved many positive results.

The Binh Lieu District Party Committee has issued Action Program No. 20-CTr/HU (dated January 20, 2022) on implementing Resolution No. 06-NQ/TU (dated May 17, 2021) of the Provincial Party Committee on sustainable socio-economic development associated with ensuring strong national defense and security in communes, villages, and hamlets in ethnic minority, mountainous, border, and island areas for the period 2021-2025, with orientation to 2030, along with many specialized resolutions, such as: Resolution No. 05-NQ/HU (dated July 16, 2021) on developing education and training to contribute to raising the intellectual level and quality of human resources to meet the development requirements of Binh Lieu district until 2025, with orientation to 2030; Resolution No. 08-NQ/HU (dated January 27, 2022) on building Binh Lieu district to meet the standards of a New Rural Area in 2022; Resolution No. 13-NQ/HU (dated May 30, 2023) on developing tourism in Binh Lieu district until 2025, with orientation to 2030...

According to Comrade Nguyen Thi Tuyet Hanh, Secretary of the Binh Lieu District Party Committee, the district has always closely followed the guidance and direction of the province, effectively implementing policies and guidelines on ethnic minorities, and effectively promoting the three pillars of "Nature - Culture - People," creating a foundation for sustainable development. At the same time, it focuses on effectively exploiting the potential and unique cultural values of ethnic minority communities in the area to develop tourism, continuously improving the material and spiritual lives of the people. National target programs have achieved positive results, and social security policies have been implemented promptly and in accordance with regulations. The political and social situation is stable, national defense and security and social order are maintained, creating absolute confidence among the people in the Party and State's reform policies.

To ensure that resolutions and policies are implemented effectively, the entire political system from the district to the grassroots level in Binh Lieu has actively participated, promoting communication and propaganda to create a change in awareness and high consensus among ethnic minority communities during the implementation process. No longer relying on or waiting for state investment, people have demonstrated self-reliance and a proactive spirit in building new rural areas, achieving sustainable poverty alleviation, and legitimately enriching themselves.

Thanks to the province's attention and resource allocation, and proactive mobilization and allocation of resources from the local budget, Binh Lieu district has focused on investing in key infrastructure projects over the years. These include numerous transportation projects connecting tourist destinations, infrastructure projects for the Hoanh Mo - Dong Van border economic zone, high-quality school projects, and essential infrastructure projects, all built to meet social welfare needs and support local production and development.

In addition, to improve the lives of the people, the district also focuses on implementing the restructuring of the agricultural sector. In recent years, Binh Lieu has converted nearly 300 hectares of low-yield rice and other crops to other crops with higher productivity and economic value; implemented policies to support 11 projects linking production and consumption of cassava products for processing into cassava vermicelli, covering 105.6 hectares and involving 641 households; and developed forest planting with over 700 hectares per year, including increasing the area of local strong species such as star anise, cinnamon, and Pinus massoniana.

Binh Lieu also focuses on implementing Resolution 05-NQ/HU (dated July 16, 2021) of the District Party Committee and the Project "Developing Education and Training to Contribute to Raising the Intellectual Level and Quality of Human Resources to Meet the Development Requirements of Binh Lieu District until 2025, with a Vision to 2030". This includes focusing on improving the overall quality of education for students; and increasing universal education at all levels. To date, 94.06% of teachers meet or exceed the required standards; and all 24 schools meet national standards.

Continuing to leverage its potential and strengths to create breakthroughs in service and tourism development, Binh Lieu focuses on developing eco-tourism, community tourism, adventure and experiential tourism, and border tourism; supporting and creating favorable conditions for organizations and individuals to invest in and develop services for tourists, and for households to develop homestay tourism... To date, the district has 40 accommodation establishments with 313 rooms (3 hotels, 24 guesthouses, 13 homestays) meeting the needs of over 1,200 tourists. In the period 2021-2024, the district welcomed 393,808 tourists, of which 106,507 stayed overnight, generating over 240 billion VND in tourism-related revenue.

The solid socio-economic development results, and the people's enjoyment of the fruits of comprehensive development, are testament to the determination, efforts, and unity of the ethnic minority people in Binh Lieu district in building an increasingly prosperous and beautiful homeland. This continues to create important momentum for Binh Lieu to move forward on a new path and achieve new accomplishments.
