According to the locals of Kenh Ga, the village was formed by fishermen from all over who flocked here to make a living during the flood season. Gradually, they built houses scattered along the riverbanks and on the alluvial plains, thus forming the village. Viewed from above, Kenh Ga resembles a lush, picturesque oasis surrounded by rivers and vast rice fields. Known as a floating village because it's located outside the Hoang Long River dike, Kenh Ga is flooded 1-2 times almost every year. Currently, the village has over 600 households. In Kenh Ga, besides common means of transportation such as motorbikes, cars, and bicycles, boats are an indispensable means of transport for every household. Mr. Tran Thien Chien from Hamlet 1, Kenh Ga shared: He has been building and repairing boats for the villagers for over a decade. Each week, he builds about two composite boats to serve the people. The people here mainly make a living by fishing, transporting raw materials on the river, and some even run restaurants and barbershops right on their boats. The children played happily on the porch with country animals like crabs and frogs… The locals are busy repairing the boat's machinery. This place is also famous for the Kênh Gà hot spring, one of the particularly valuable open-air saltwater hot springs that nature has generously bestowed upon the floating village. Currently, businesses have invested in resorts and some households have funded the construction of swimming pools and hot spring baths to attract tourists . Visiting Kenh Ga to explore the rustic riverside countryside, gently gliding on a boat or cycling around the village to admire the tranquil scenery in a peaceful, cool atmosphere, and then soothing yourself with natural hot springs will surely leave visitors with unforgettable memories.
